Seventh grade version of Benjamin Valentino was the definition of funny and kind-hearted.
His personality never changed one bit, and with that, he became really popular.
But he never let his status for fame get in the way of our friendship.
That was, until he started dating a girl with red hair named Vanessa.
She was on the cheerleading team and one of Stephanie's former friends.
But Vanessa was far from a bitch, she had the heart of gold.
She was beautiful and she was like a goddess, and she had a voice; I didn't.
Benjamin and I started hanging out less, but we still talked a lot.
He offered me to stay with him and his friend group at our usual lunch table today.
I said no and chose to sit alone because it hurt me to see him and Vanessa all head over heels for each other.
I hated feeling jealous, and I knew that it was very ungrateful of me for thinking that way of them.
I should have been happy for my best friend, but I just couldn't get myself to do it.
I stained our friendship and completely destroyed it the day my feelings slipped.
