"Did you want to come over to my house for dinner sometime this week?"
I instantly stopped trying to find the solution of the math problem that I was working on.
A bright smile spread across my face, my insides all giddy and hummed with excitement.
"You could have asked me a month ago, or two weeks ago. Why this week?"
A blush crawled onto Benjamin's cheeks.
"Well uh, you see, my mom has been wanting to meet you for a while now. And I just thought that maybe it's about time you can get closer with my family rather than just me knowing everything about yours. How does Thursday night sound?"
"Sure! We can meet up after school by the north entrance then," I grabbed his hand and gave it a light squeeze of gratitude before letting go.
As I stood up to leave the lunch table, I could feel Benjamin's eyes lingering on my back as I happily walked off.
