"Were there other witnesses honey?"
My mom gave me a big notebook and a mechanical pencil that she bought yesterday night for me.
I scribbled down possible names to the best of my knowledge.
"Benjamin Valentino, Charlotte Jennings, and Mr. Johnson."
"Has that teacher done anything to discipline Stephanie?"
I nodded and kept on writing all of my most negative thoughts about everything that happened this week.
"Stephanie just bothers me so much that I had to skip my last two classes today. And I confessed to Benjamin how I felt about him, even though he already has a girlfriend. He probably hates me now and I have no one else left at school who will even step up to Stephanie for me. I'm basically labeled as a nobody at school with my disability!"
"Ben is a nice boy hun, and it's okay to feel that way about him. And I know that he honestly doesn't hate you; he will never be able to hate you."
"And how would you know that?"
"Because he asks me how are you doing everyday. He asks me if he can come over to see you. He really cares about you, but I don't think that he has made it clear enough to you."
