Today was the day.
I remembered to put on the nicest outfit that I could think of at the top of my head that morning.
I had slipped a white blouse over my head and hopped into a pair of black jeans.
I shoved my feet into a pair of almond brown ankle boots.
Nearly satisfied with how I was looking, I finished the entire outfit off by tying my raven hair up into a tight bun.
Only then I didn't realize that it was going to rain today, and my father didn't own an umbrella that I could have easily borrowed without a problem.
I had no choice but to walk to school with my old and battered winter coat protecting my upper body along with a hood over my head.
I had an uneasy feeling in my gut; something just wasn't right.
Soon I entered the school with all the girls' eyes on me, but not in the kind of way that would make someone necessarily feel like they are in a safe environment.
It wasn't the urge to murder in their eyes, it was only envy.
