I was immediately sent to voicemail.

I huffed the fringe from my face and thought it only fair to text back Marcus so he'd quit his damn worrying.

Hey Marcus. I'm fine, at my Dads is all, needed a break see you in a few xx

Marcus's P.O.V

I pounded my fist on his door, it was the blonde who answered.

"Where's Tomlinson?"

The guy yawned and shook his head while stretching out his arms, "Sorry mate, I haven't got a clue."

I could feel my eyes narrow and fingers clench. Without another word, I took off again furiously dialing Lennoxs number.

No answer.

I punched the vending machine in the lounge not even flinching a single time as the snacks rattled and the metal coils shook.

A familiar voice caught my attention and I did a complete 180 to find him perched on the coffee table cooly laughing it off with a couple of his mates.

Gotcha.

I sighed and flicked my phone off crawling into my Dads stash for a Marlboro box.

I was trying my hardest not to think about how much Landon didn't want me. I was doing my best to shrug off the fact that Drew and I would probably never be the same again. I even attempted to rid myself of the yearning I had for Louis.

I realized I had to stop concentrating on what I had in order to learn to love the things I actually have.

I have Marcus.

Marcus loves me unconditionally.

I drilled my finger into the power button of my iPhone.

As soon as my lock screen flicked on I punched in my code and hit call Marcus.

One ring.

Two rings.

Hello?

"Marcus!"

Lennox, dear..

[muffled sounds]

"Have I called at a bad time?"

[door shuts, loud quick footsteps]

No my love. Should I come get you? Where are you? God I miss you.

The smile crept up on my face genuinely and I could feel the crease on the corners of my mouth form a parenthesis as my grin widened.

"I'll be back by evening, my love."

Love you, Len.

"Love you too, Marcus."

And I really meant it. I loved Marcus.

I kissed Dad goodbye promising more drop ins that weren't spazzical and on a whim and even though he begged me to call Landon, I had refused.

While on the Picadilly line again, I felt the rush of home and the yearn for London. I even took a detour at Trafalgar Square just to hit the markets and buy macaroons for a few pounds.
