Easton's POV

Evalie puts her hands on my chest and pushes me away with a smile. She takes my hand and opens the door that had been behind her.

As I walk into the Artifact Storage room I notice Eva scanning the room and her eyes settle on a pair of mirrors. She lets go of my hand and walks up to them studying us in the mirror. She takes my hand again.

"This doesn't feel right". She says holding our hands up in the mirror.

The mirror in front of us has a white border with tiny little words that I can't understand. The one behind us is black with the same the little words. I can't see myself but I can see Eva, and I assume it's the same for her. It's like a never ending corridor of reflections, going on and on and on without an end. I'm pulled out of my daze as I feel Evalie's ice cold hand slowly unwrap itself around my hand. I stare at our hands, showing up in the reflection of the reflection of the reflection.

"Are you okay?" I whisper, ignoring what she had said to her hoping to make her feel more comfortable since she clearly wasn't outside.

"In all honesty, no. No I'm definitely not okay,"  she says turning to face me. She steps forward and puts her forehead on my chest as I engulf her in a bear hug.

"What's wrong?" I ask her my voice lased in concern as I put my head on top of her head.

She says something incoherent against my shirt, "What?" I ask.

"I wouldn't be special to you. You've had at least ten girlfriends in the last six months and you would leave me for someone better, someone smarter and prettier..." she says, letting go of me and leaning a hand up against her reflection.

I watch as her hand gets absorbed into the mirror, as Eva screams bloody murder.

And she's gone.
