Bridges.
After eating breakfast, I washed the dishes that I used. It's been three days since De and I had argued, and I haven't heard from her yet. I called Nivea, Shay and Hardrick. They've all said she doesn't want to speak with me. At least not right now. I don't know what to do anymore. If she wants to work this out between us or not, she needs to say something.
If that doesn't work than I don't know what's next. For her and I anyway. Hard knocks are pounded on my door, and I'm confused to who that could that be. No one usually ever knocks like that, that I know of. I look through the peephole, furrowing my eyebrows to Brenda on my doorstep.
It's been months since I seen her. When she banged on my window in the parking lot of Planet Fitness to be exact. I sigh heavily and swing the door open, leaning on the door frame. She looks worn out and exhausted. As if she hasn't slept in days.
"Why are you here, as a matter of fact how do you know where I live?"
"Can we talk?" She questions.
"You gone answer my damn question?" I raise a brow in suspicion. She huffs in irritation, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Your mother gave me your address, can I come in or not?"
"No. Wait here, I'll be out." I turn on my heel and close the door in her face. Why the hell my mom gave her my address I don't know but we'll talk later. I want to know what's so got damn important with Brenda though. My mom keeps telling me I should listen to her and all this other shit.
This only makes me suspect, that's she's holding something from me. If she is that's foul as hell. Real foul. I put on my jacket and sneaks, grabbing my keys to the Lamborghini. I have to meet with my publicist after what ever Brenda wants to talk about. I exit the house seeing Brenda lean against her car. I lean against mine, crossing my arms across my chest. I hunch my shoulders, twirling my tongue around in my mouth.
"You wanna talk, so talk." I demand. She breathed in deeply, rubbing her hands together.
"I need you to take a test. A DNA test." She clarifies. I furrow my eyebrows confused, jolting my head back.
"A DNA test for what?" I question confused. Brenda sighs heavily, crossing her arms across her chest.
"At the time of my infidelity, I slept with three guys. You, the guy you caught with and someone else who was a one night stand. I got them both to take a test and they were both negative. It now leaves you." She says. I scoff and shake my head.
"You was just a rolling stone huh? Three nigga? You should go on Maury, maybe he'll find the father. I know that kid isn't mine." I defend, unlocking my car. The door flies up and I hop in, pulling the door down.
"You won't know for sure until you take the test." Brenda sasses as I roll the windows down.
"Look I know I used a condom faithfully, because something told me you was cheating. Then once I found you with that nigga in your bed, I knew my choice was right. Now, you better find that fourth nigga and get his ass tested as well." I tell her, cranking the car.
"He's dead." She mumbles saddened.
"Well, make an appointment and let my mom know. I'll be there bright and early." I tell her, backing up out the drive. I'm 100% sure I'm not the father, but the test knows more than I do. So does Brenda. Hell sheeven admitted there was a fourth guy, but he's dead. I could careless who that is and I really don't want to know.
At the end of the day it is what it is. I make my way downtown and park in front of the restaurant. I pay for the meter and hop out. I enter the dining place, telling the host who I'm here for. He nods and leads the way.
