I sat by the table and thoughts ran through my mind. Would Kakashi be bothered if I held him a birthday party?
The apartment door closed with a thud before I sigh broke the silence. I walked over to the entrance of the apartment and leaned against the wall with my arms crossed. I watched Kakashi as he was still trying to take his ninja shoes off, “Welcome back.”
Kakashi’s head shot up, “You’re still awake?”
I hadn’t noticed what time it was but it seemed like time had flown by quickly, “Yeah it seems like it,” I smiled and walked over to him, “How was the meeting? How is Guy Sensei?”
I helped him pull off his vest and hung it next to the spare one I was borrowing.
“It was about the scouting, his… okay I guess” He replied mono-toned before hastily placing his hand onto my back, encouraging me to lead the way, “and the Hokage wants to see you.”
I felt the heat run over my body before I choked out, “The Hokage?”
Before the sun could rise I was already awake and preparing what I was going to wear for the meeting.
I hadn’t noticed but Kakashi was sitting on the bed rubbing his eyes, “You’re making a racket you know?”
I jolted forward and leaned into the cupboard, “Geez Kakashi, you know what it means to knock?”
“I did but you were making such a racket that you weren’t able to!”
I sighed and straightened myself, “Kakashi, I only have this to wear.”
I showed him a plain blue t-shirt and black jeans. He laughed aloud and fell back onto the bed. My face was burning with embarrassment.
“Kakashi stop that!” I walked out of the room and scrunched the clothing into a big ball.
“Zarachael were only going there for a meeting, it’s nothing fancy.”
I felt more embarrassed by the way he said that. I sighed, Kakashi was right, we weren’t going anywhere fancy. It was just that this would be an actual meeting with the Hokage.
I prepare us both breakfast and placed the food on the table before calling out Kakshi’s name.
“Why were you up so late?” Kakashi placed himself onto the seat.
I looked down at my food and continued eating, “Plans…”
“What kind of plans?”
I looked up for a second and felt my heart prance around as Kakashi face was staring at me. I turned away and the heat on my face began to pulse. Kakashi somewhat looked handsome today.
“Zarachael?”
I turned back to face him with my stomach churning, “It’s nothing that would concern you!” My voice was a little loud and the fork slipped from my hand creating a loud clank. I looked down at my plate and sighed, “Kakashi…”
“Is this really happening Zarachael?” His voice was soft.
I looked up at him, “Kakashi, I’m sorry…”
He stood up and made his way into the lounge room.
“Kakashi. Hey Kakashi I said I was sorry!” I followed after him. I was now beginning to feel confused.
“Sorry?” He turned to me sharply.
I stepped back and bumped into the couch. Kakashi held onto my wrist and gripped onto it, “Is this what you’re like, you think I don’t know?”
