~~~Madison's P.O.V~~~

Oh man! I still can't believe my birthday is this Saturday. I can't wait to do absolutely nothing. Well, i'll tell you this. Every single birthday i've ever had, i couldn't have a simple party. My so called father would rip up every birthday card i had from school. I would always cry but as i got older, i just stood there and watched him rip a $3 hallmark card. It hurt but i just ignored it. I wouldn't let my father get to me.

After 2 days of no school, my father let me go because he got a call from Ms. Burnstein that if i didn't show up to class, then i would fail. Right now, I'm gonna say "Thank You Ms. Burnstein!" Wow. I never thought i would actually say that ever.

I finally got ready for school. Today was another typical Thursday. Classes went by so fast that i couldn't belive it was lunch time. I spotted my friends at the regular table. I sat down and they all eruped in laughter. "Happy Early Birthday!!"

I started to laugh too. My friends were so unpredictable that i sometimes wonder how we even became friends.

Ana finally spoke up. "Okay okay! So we need to plan for your party on Saturday night!" I groaned internally. I already told them that i don't like to have a party on my birthday but they just won't listen!

"You guys! I already told you! I don't want a birthday party! I'm only turning 18 not saving the world."

Alex, my other friend, said "Look. Being 18 is like the best age of your life! You have total freedom to do whatever the hell you want! You are going to this party! Even if you have to sneak out!"

I widen my eyes. "Sneak out?", i whispered. They all nodded slowly. I continued, "Are you all crazy! What if i get caught!"

Ana scoffed. "You won't get caught because you are going to sneak out while your dad is sleeping. We'll pick you up at like 11 or 11:30 and we party all night long. At least until 2 in the morning."

I couldn't believe my ears. They were dead serious about this. I shook my head viciously. "No! No! No! No! No! I can't and i won't!"

They all groaned and pouted. They couldn't get to me. The puppy-dog face doesn't work on me except for one person. I saw Ana sneak a peek at me. Her eyes as big as saucers and her lip as big as a balloon. Ugh! I sighed. "Okay! okay!"

Ana spoke, "Okay after school, we'll go shopping for your dress!"

I rolled my eyes as they erupted in cheers and we all continued our lunch. Yeah right! I will not be in a damn dress. Even for a thousand dollars!

~~~Mall~~~

We arrived at the mall after school. I missed Shane today but he had a baseball game at another school so he wasn't at school. He didn't text me either. Oh well!

The first store we went to was Bath & Body Works. "I thought i was buying a dress?" Ana nodded.

"Yeah but we need to buy you perfume, lotion, nail polish, and girl? Have you ever heard of lip gloss!?"
