Heated Up

"Alright time to go. I'll see you guys at night."

"Is Winnie going too?"Leonard asked.

"No she isn't......"

"YES I AM. I'm going too."

"No you're not going Winnie. Remember what happened last time when you took alcohol?"

"But I accepted Rodrick's offer to go already...... Can't I go? Pretty please......?" Not those irresistible puppy eyes again. Rodrick's doing again. Calm down Tyler.

"Alright you can go. But......"

"YESSSS!" She jumped in joy.

"WOOO WINNIE'S GOING! IT'S GONNA BE SO MUCH FUN!" Leonard and the twins joined Winnie, jumping round. And I caught Rodrick staring at Winnie and smiling. If he isn't one of my friends, his eyes would have been dug out by me I swear.

We left the skate park and went home. As usual, I would walk her to the door. She then hugged me and tiptoed to peck my lips.

[Winnie's POV]
He's been acting really weird since just now at the skate park. And our journey home was silent. He didn't say anything or joked with me like he would used to. I wondered what has gone into him? He's just really not himself today...... Even after I've kissed him, he shows no reaction or anything. Is he even here with me? He seemed distracted.

"Hey, are you alright Tyler? You've been acting like this since just now. Did something bad happen?"I put one hand on his cheek and caressed it slightly with my thumb.

"Oh nothing much actually......"

"Really......?" He then gently took my hand off his cheek and held onto it. He sighed.

"Okay listen Winnie. Can you do me a favour? Just stay away from Rodrick."

"Why? He's quite nice. Oh! Were you jealous you weren't the one teaching me?"

"No I wasn't! I mean......just keep a distance from him. Promise me?" He held out his pinky.

"We're not kids anymore Tyler." I giggled.

"Just promise me!"

"Okay! Pinky promise."

"Good. I'll come and fetch you in the evening. See you later then." He smiled and kissed me on the cheeks before going back to his house. I watched him entered his house before going in to mine. I checked my phone and saw a few texts from Amber. Now's the time for announcing it to her. I'm sure she'll be more happy than I am!

'So Amber...... Remember that night I told u I was going out with him? Well he asked me to be his girlfriend'

Few seconds later, a new text. Wow she's replying real quick.

'OMG!! Did u said yes? I'm sure u did right?'
'I did! :)'
'OMG WINNIE I'M SO HAPPY FOR U!! :* I was right about him liking u back!'
'Thanks Amber <3 Anyways, how are things going on with you and Nick?'
'Well......we broke up a few days ago'
'I'm so sorry Amber......why didn't u tell me earlier?'
'I didn't wanna spoil the date u had with Tyler so......'
'I'm sorry I wasn't there for u Amber...... U must've been feeling blue these days. I promise I'll make it up to u! We should have a sleepover soon at my place :)'
'It's okay Winnie, u aren't to blame...... Well okay :)'
'Cheer up alright and see you soon xoxo'
'Yup thanks'

Some kind of best friend am I to not know. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it up to her soon. So tired from the skateboarding. Shall take a nap and then bathe before heading out to meet the boys.
