Dinner at His

The time has come. Am I ready? Well somehow but not quite. And is it me or am I supposed to be feeling this nervous? It's just a meeting with his parents Winnie. The first one yet. Not like they would slaughter you and eat you up. That's cannibalism. Right, it's just a simple dinner and some talking.

I was giving myself a pep talk in my head when I realised the timing. FUNKY FROLIC DONUTS! I should really get ready now or else I'll be late! And that's a big no no for my first impression.

I certainly don't want to be crowned queen of being late. Alright, now I should look for something presentable and not too revealing.

Guess I'm good to go now! Like finally. I unlocked the front door and one huge block fell onto the floor. Thanks to my quick reactions, I dodged it just in time like a ninja.

"Owww......" My eyes diverted to where the sound was coming from.

"Omg are you okay?"I said while helping him up from the floor. Turned out it wasn't a block but Tyler instead.

"Yeah. Thanks babe,"he replied while rubbing his waist.

"Anyways, aren't you suppose to be waiting for me at home? I was just about to leave though."

"I think I would've died if I continued waiting for you at home."

"Pfft. How exaggerating."

"Died from not being able to see your pretty little face." I blushed at his witty remark.

"Gosh too cheesy. You need to cut it down a bit."

"I know you love my cheesiness,"he smirked.

"Not only am I a gentleman, I'm quite a smooth guy I must say. Call me Mr 'Steal My Girl's Heart'." Tyler Smith back at it again.

I gave him an incredulous look but a second later, burst out laughing.

"Let's head to your house now. Wouldn't want to keep your parents waiting."

"Alright."

"Mum! Dad! She's here!"

"Come on in......"he said as he walked me in.

Literally, my heart was about to be pumped out from my chest. I gulped while clenching the gift tightly in my hands, as sweat started to form in my palms. I wiped it off on my pants and stood rooted to the floor.

"Ooooo finally she's here!"

"Hello Mr and Mrs Smith. Nice to meet the both of you."

"And here's a gift. It's just some chocolates. Hope you liked them."

"Oh and forgot to introduce. I'm–"

"Winnie Miller. Am I right honey? I've heard quite a bit about you from my son."

"I have to say, you're much prettier in person than what he described you as."

"Yeah I'm Winnie. Erm thank you Mrs Smith hahaha." I blushed slightly. That was a weird feeling. Looking at his Mum, she's got that youth vibe. And is a loving looking mother.
