[Winnie's POV]
My parents were finally back home. It seemed like forever."Oh my little darling! I've missed you so much!"my Mum said while pulling me into a tight embrace that was kind of suffocating. I smiled and said,"I've missed you too, Mum. Dad as well."
"Come here pumpkin. Give your Dad a hug too!" I laughed and hugged him as well.
"What have you been doing when we're gone? Your face is practically glowing! Did something good happened? Tell me more about it sweetie......"
She leaned in closer and whispered into my ear,"Preferably when your Dad's not at home."
"What are you two whispering about? I have my eyes on you! Watch out!" My Mum and I just shrugged it off and laughed. She was like a close friend to me. And I could tell her almost anything. Even if I don't, she could read through me like a glass. It had its pros and cons but nonetheless, I still love her.
My Dad on the other hand was like a jokester in the house. He would play pranks on us and it really lightens up the mood. And......I heard from my parents that I was supposed to have an older Brother but he didn't made it out. I felt kind of sad at first but thinking about it, my parents must've felt much worst.
Despite that, I'm used to and like being the only child. Nobody would fight for my food and I had everything to myself, without the need to share. I may sound selfish but it's food that we're talking about. I LOVE FOOD. I'm not picky with them so I basically eat almost everything. And one day, I'm gonna travel around the world to try bizarre looking food. Food that I've not eaten before.
Knock knock. When my parents are at home, usually one of them would be the one to answer phone calls and the door, unless I'm told to do so. Cause......I'm too lazy to move my bum out of the bedroom. Even the TV remote on the coffee table seemed far from my reach sometimes. It bothers me from time to time. And I wished there was an invention that could benefit lazy people like me.
"Oh hi there, fine looking young man." I heard my Mum said. Young man? I looked over to the door and Tyler was standing there. Why was he doing here? He sure knows how to pick timings.
"Hello Mrs Miller. I'm Tyler Smith. Nice to meet you."
"Hello and I don't think we've met before...... Oh! You're the kid that lived across the street!"
"Haha yeah I am......"
"What did you say your name was again?"
"Tyler. Tyler Smith."
"Ahhh......a fine name for a fine man. But your name seems kind of familiar...... Do I......"
"Mrs Miller......! I'm sure a handful of people have the same name as me. Maybe that's why......"
"True. Anyways, here to look for Winnie I suppose? Come on in!" My mum lead him in by his arm. This was going to be so......awkward?
"Hey there young chap!" My Dad causally rested his arm onto Tyler's shoulder and patted it firmly before giving a squeeze.
"Hi......Mr Miller. Great......to......see you too!"
"Of course, it better be great."
"Mum! Dad! Tyler and I have a very important project to do. So errr if you'll excuse us, we'll be upstairs doing our work." I grabbed Tyler's wrist and dragged him upstairs.
"Sweetie, I'll bring some snacks up for you guys!"
"It's okay Mum! Thanks!"I replied back.
