The moonlight shown above us, guiding the small pathway. Leaves were crackling under our feet as we walked. The branches of aged trees made a creaking sound when the wind blew. Eerie shadows formed by trees looked like it could come alive and get us anytime. The wind howled and a gust of strong wind swept away a pile of leaves in a distance. This felt like a horror movie. As we ventured deeper into the forest, I could hear crickets chirping and owls hooting. It was getting far too cold.

"AHHCHOO!" I sneezed. Tyler stopped walking and turn round to face me.

"You're cold aren't you?" And being the stubborn superwoman I replied,"No, I'm not cold. My nose was feeling a little itchy just now." Tyler shook his head and took off his jacket without a word. He then gently laid his jacket over my shoulder.

"But I said I'm not cold......"

"Don't be bullheaded and just put it on okay? I know you're cold. Even the invincible superman could feel cold." With that, he gripped my hand once again and we continued walking. Although I don't show it but I'm thankful for his jacket. It made me warmer. We came to a point where the path just stops. Is this the end already? As though he read my mind he said,"This is not the end. We're still not there yet." He faced me again and held both my hands firmly.

"I need to check out the place first. You stay here and wait for me okay? And don't move. I'll be right back quickly." He then jogged off further down and gave a quick glance back to me. I'm all alone now. Is this how people in horror movies felt like when they're alone? I don't wanna stay here any longer. Why did he bring me here in the first place? Maybe I should walk slowly and try to follow where he went off to. Maybe I'll find him too!

I hugged my arms and cautiously walked. It's getting creepier and spookier. The sound of the crickets and owls have died off. My breathing got heavier and it's so quiet that I could hear my own heartbeat, ba bump ba bump ba bump...... Rustle rustle rustle. What's that noise?

I took a small peek but there's nothing behind me. The noise got closer and louder. I quickened my pace. And being the timid me, I eventually sprinted off not knowing what it was. Is it following behind me?! Get away from me! I ran through the vines hanging down from trees. And ran right straight into a cobweb.

"AHHHHHH!! OMG EW! WHERE ARE YOU TYLER?!" I swiped the web out of my hair completely and the rustling sounds were catching up. BOOM. I hit into something. ITS A PERSON. The person grabbed me. And I tried my best to struggle free while kicking.

"LET GO OF ME!! I SAID LET GO!"

"Ouch! It's me, Tyler! Winnie! Stop!" I stopped whatever I was doing and looked at him. Tears started building up in my eyes and I'm trying my best to hold it back in. The next moment, he pulled me into a bear hug. This caused my tears to flow uncontrollably down my cheeks and soon enough I was bawling my eyes out. And then sobbing.

"Where were you? Do you have any idea how scared I was without you here?"

"I'm here. Don't worry. I'll always protect you." I felt safe to be in his arms. It's like a Baby Joey snuggling in Mama Kangaroo's pouch. Safe and secured. His soothing voice driven away all the remaining fear that I had. And it left just me and him standing in the middle of a forest in each other's embrace. I pulled away and he pouted.

"The knight in shining armour will always be here with his arms wide open for you. And I know you can't resist the urge to hug me." He winked and I playfully hit his shoulder.
