Two Plus Two

Shandy Café. We found a spot outside, under the huge umbrella stand and settled down. Good thing it's there to shade us. Otherwise, we'll turned into baked potatoes or even worse, fried. 

"Here are your menus. If you're done picking, just call me over alright?"

"Thanks. Okay." There's like a wide range of food here. Making it so hard for me to choose from! I JUST WANT TO TRY THEM ALL.

"The burritos here are pretty good. Wanna have some? Oh how about burritos and a pepperoni pizza?!"

"That's what I was thinking!"

"Great minds think alike. Hey excuse me!" Tyler signaled to the waiter.

"Any drinks to go with it?"

"Ermmm an iced caramel macchiato. What about you Tyler?"

"I'll have the same. Thanks." With a nod, the waiter left with the menus. 

"So......what do you wanna do afterwards?" Tyler cocked his head to one side. 

"Head home? Hahaha just kidding. I actually have no idea."

"How about we go catch a movie in the evening? Then we could have dinner afterwards."

"Sounds great!"

"Here are your burritos and drinks." Wow that's fast. A tortilla rolled with hot juicy black pepper chicken, onions, lettuces, shredded melted cheese, corn and black beans simmered with some spices. There was also a side of very thin freshly fried tortilla chips that came with a small bowl of salsa. 

I felt like I was in heaven. I took a bite and there seemed to be fireworks exploding in my mouth. IT WAS THAT GOOD. PERIOD. Needless to say, sipping on the drink was like a bonus on a hot day. It flows down your throat very smoothly, taking away some heat and cooling you down in the process.

"About the movie...... Can we invite Amber and Rodrick too? We could keep it as a surprise for them. Are you okay with that?"

"As long as they don't disturb us, it's fine."

"No I mean about......"

"Rodrick? We're cool. We've talked it out and yeah. Plus, he seems to be interested in your best friend. It's a good opportunity to bring them together."

"Awww my boyfriend is growing up into a real gentleman!"

"In the first place, I'm already one,"he said while giving a smug face. 

"Then how do you explain what happened in the park just now?"

"LA LA LA LA. I can't hear you. It's too noisy."

"When are you ever gonna stop being so childish?"

"Never. You'll be stuck with me. And I'll  be annoying you for the rest of your life."

"Is that a good or bad thing?"

"Hm both. You should probably ask Amber while I ask Rodrick."

"Lastly, here's your pizza. Enjoy your meal!" 

"Thank you! Let's ask later and dig in. Priorities first."

"Alright,"he chuckled. The pizza was great without saying but the company was even better. 

We walked back home and as I reached my bedroom, I fished out my phone to text Amber.

'HEYYYYY. Free tonight? Wanna catch a movie this evening?' 

'Sure thing! It's only the two of us right?'

'Yupp :)' 

What does she meant by 'only the two of us'? Was she expecting someone to go too? She'll be so shock to see Rodrick and Tyler there later on.

'How are things going over there with Rodrick?'

'All under control babe ;) can't wait to see you later'

'Same here ;)'

Evening soon came. With one hand on the wheel, Tyler rested his free hand on my lap. I put my hand over his and played with his fingers while we waited for the traffic. We were on our way to the cinemas to meet them and yeah, we arrived first. But not for long, I saw Amber making her way to us.

"Wh-at? I thought it was only us? Why is Tyler doing here?"

"Here to spoil your movie date of course." Oh here comes Rodrick. What a good timing. 

"Supp Ty...ler. Why are they here too?"

"Winnie Miller. Girl, please explain yourself."

"We're having a double movie date!"

"Excuse us, we'll be in the washroom. Be right back!" Yup, you guessed it. Amber dragged me into the ladies. 

"Winnie what are you doing?!"

"Well, trying to bring you and him together? You can thank me later."

"It'll be so awkward to face him after that day at your house......"

"Come on Amber. You know and I know, you definitely have some feelings for him."

"But......but."

"What's holding you back? He's a nice guy. You should give him and yourself a chance."

"I don't know Winnie...... What if he's like Nick?!"

"HAHAHAHA!"

"What's so funny about that?"

"That I can guarantee something. He's a perfectly straight guy. So don't worry too much. Come on Amber, let's go out now. They're still waiting for us. Just enjoy yourself tonight and don't think so much."

"Alright. Thanks Winnie."

Wow. They've already gotten the tickets and popcorn ready. Rodrick threw me a smile and nodded. I smiled back. I glanced over to Amber and all I could see was 'embarrassed' written across her face. And I noticed how shy Rodrick was being when he greeted Amber. His ears were a total red. 

"I almost wanted to rush in to find you babe. I thought something happened inside. By the way, I've gotten couple seats."

"Nothing's wrong haha. Let's go! The movie's starting soon!" 

"Woooo let's go!" Tyler slung his arm casually over my shoulder and I wrapped mine around him. We were walking in the front with Amber and Rodrick following closely behind.
