Chapter Ten

*Rebecca's POV*

What? Vinny lives next door? I wish I had a picture of Vinny to show Nora to make sure it's him that she's talking about, but I don't. I just hope she is talking about another Vinny. I don't have a problem with him but if he sees me here... in one hour may I add, He'll tell Mikey and I'll see Mikey more often. Well, it's not that bad if I really think about it... but Mikey makes me nervous! I looked at Kayla and she looked at me too. I know we both were thinking about the same thing. "If you girls are done giving each other looks, you have to get dressed... like now!" Nora said and push us both into her room which was across the hallway. "I thought you said we had to get dressed?" I asked her. "I know, but I want to do both of your hair!" Nora's room is pink, her three windows face towards the backyard. As I looked out her window I saw the backyard for the first time. Half of it is grass and half of it is cement floors. They have an ingrouded pool that has a driving board and a slide that goes directly into the pool. They have a BBQ grill and a table with 4 chairs. The table is glass and has an umbrella in the middle. On the grass side, there is a swing set and a slide. "'Becks, sit." Nora instructed me and patted on the white stool in front of her queen sized bed. "What kind of hair style do you want?" She asked. "Curled ends, but the rest, straight." I said and she did what I told her. Kayla was in my room going through her clothes to find the dress she took with her. After 15 minutes of "getting my hair done" I went to Nora's heart shaped mirror that was in her private bathroom. I looked at my appearance and started thinking about what I wanted to wear. "Kayla, what do you want me to do with your hair?" Nora asked. "All curls, please!" Kayla said. As I walked out of Nora's bathroom my aunt came into her room. "Girls, you have twenty more minutes until people start to come. The Mara's should be here soon, Nora." My aunt said as she walked down the stairs. "Who are the Maras?" I asked Nora. "They are a family that lives around the block. I think their younger son, Nick is coming with them." Yay. More boys. I said to myself sarcastically. "How old is he?" Kayla asked. "Umm... 16, I think. I go to school with him."

"Anyone else should we know about?" I asked Nora as she sprayed Kayla's curls. "No, there are other boys, but I don't think they are coming." She said. "Thank god." She giggled. "Why?"

"Because I ran into a-" Ding dong - "People? Already?" I looked at my iPhone and it was six o'clock on the nose. "They are always on time. I have to go DJ. You both get dressed and come see me... I'll be in the living room DJing." Nora said as she ran out of her room and downstairs to greet people. "Kayla, do you think she was talking about our Vinny?" I asked her hopping she would say no... "I think she might be, but there are a lot of other teenagers named Vinny." I hope she is right.

*Mikey's POV*

"Vin, these clothes are itchy." I told him as I scratched my arms. "It's only for a little bit. You'll be fine. Be a man Mikey!" He told me and he shoved me and I shoved him back. We both started play fighting until Bianca came and started scolding us. "Guys, come on! We have to go over in a few and we don't need either of you to go in with a black eye or something!" Bianca said as she walked to the front door with us. A few minutes later Alessandra and Mrs. Castronovo came down. "Alright kids, no misbehaving! And don't forget manners!" Mrs. Castronovo said as she opened the front door. "We know." We all said. We make a right and the house was right there. It was made of wood and had a lot of windows. We rang the doorbell and a lady came out. "Welcome! Welcome!" She said. "Hello Jackie, this is Mikey. He is Vinny's friend. I hope you don't mind that we brought him with us." Mrs. Castronovo said. "Oh no! Not at all! I want to introduce all of you to my niece, she is with me for the summer. Let me find her. But come in, make yourselfs at home." Jackie said. "I told you." Vinny whispered to me.

*Rebecca's POV*

I walked out of my bathroom and Kayla was putting on her mascara. I had a white high waisted shirt with a black leather top that was see-though on the shoulders. I had my black toms on and I wore silver jewelry... I had silver diamond hoops and my pandora bracelet that my mom gave me for Christmas and a nude color ankle bracelet. Kayla had a black dress that was higher than her knees and had sleeves and black sandals. She had a pink belt on and only had diamond studs. "You look so pretty!" We both said at the same time. "Girls, please come down, I have to introduce you to some people." My aunt said. We took our phones and followed my aunt downstairs. I heard 'Royals' playing as we walked down the stairs. I knew Nora was Djing because that's her favorite song of all time. I was surprised how many were down there. "Okay girls, I going to introduce you to the Castronovo's... follow me." We did as we were told. We went to a family that were by the kitchen. "Okay, I finally found them," My aunt said and three ladies turned around. "This is my niece Rebecca and her friend Kayla." My aunt said as he pointed towards us. I gave them a smile. "Rebecca, Kayla, This is Bianca, Alessandra and Mrs. Castronovo." They greeted us with hugs, I wish people in New York were as nice as them. "Okay girls, I'll be right back I forgot my cell phone at the house." Mrs. Castronovo said to Bianca and Alessandra. "So, how old are you girls?"

"Thirteen." Kayla and I said. "You guys would love Mikey and Vinny than," Bianca said through her laughs. "Where are they anyways?"

*Mikey's POV*

"This backyard is sick!" I said as I looked at the inground pool that had lights on the bottom. "It is! I could live back here!" Vinny said. Bianca came to the back. "Guys come. I want to introduce you to two girls." She said as she grabbed us by the arms and led into the house. We got to the kitchen and I saw Alessandra and two girls. They turned around and faced us. "This Mikey and Vinny, This is Rebecca and Kayla." Bianca said. "We already met." The four of us said.
