Chapter Fourteen

*Rebecca's POV*

"Mikey, you love me?" I asked he boy who just said he loved me. Mikey looked up at me with his beautiful dark brown eyes and held my hand. "Yes, I love you Rebecca. Maybe I'm going to ruin the moment but, I've dated other girls and I'm not dating you but you make my heart race and my palms sweat. I have a different emotion when I'm around you. I'm feeling something that I've never experienced before, I didn't know what it is but I know now... it's love." I was completely surprised I just met him but I can't complain because I love him too.

*Mikey's POV*

She was silence for a while I think I might have scared her, but what can I lose? I had to tell her how I feel. I just hope she feels the same way. "Mikey, we just met but I feel something with you too. Even the mention of your name makes my heart flutter. Every time you look at me, hold my hand, kiss me on the cheek, I get butterflies in my stomach and electricity runs through my body faster than the speed of light. I've never been in love before, but I think I am now," She walked around the table and sat next to me. "I love you too." I know it's the perfect moment, I'm pretty sure she even knows it. I lifted my hand and placed it on her cheek. I looked her in her beautiful eyes and she smiled and closed her eyes. I started to lean in and so did she. I felt her breath come closer and closer to my lips.

*Rebecca's POV*

I turned my head a little bit to the side and placed both of my hands around his neck. Now our lips were centimeters away and - "Aww!" We quickly pulled away from each other and sat up straight and so fast. I saw Vinny, Abby, Madison, Jason, and Sarah looked at us with smirks. I felt my cheeks flush because our friends just caught us about to kiss each other. "Excuse me." I got up and started walking away from the group of teenagers that were calling my name. I just have to walk away from the embarrassment that was choking me. I didn't know where I was going but I knew I just needed some air. The sun was starting to set and I didn't care. I kept walking and I was surprised Vinny or Abby didn't come looking for me ye- "Rebecca!" Abby called. I spoke too soon. I knew she was going to catch up to me so I didn't bother turning around. I was passing a lemonade stand and stopped in my tracks to allow her to come next to me. "Rebecca that was so cute!" Abby said out of breath. I just nodded and blushed.

"Why did you walk away?" She asked me. I looked at her. "I-I was embarrassed..." I responded and smiled and shook her head. "Don't be! There's not need." She smiled at me. "But we were about to- you know." She giggled. "Kiss?" I nodded my head. "Hun! Don't be embarrassed!" She said as she hugged me. "I know but, what if we don't have a moment like that?" I asked her. "You will! I got you girl!" She winked at me and I laughed. "How long were you guys here anyways?" "Um, not long but if you are wondering, no, we didn't hear you guys admit you love each other." She said with a smirk. I blushed. "Come on Becca, we have to make sure you and Mikey kiss." She grabbed my arm and started pulling me back to the pizzeria that I was at before.

*Mikey's POV*

"Guys! You ruined our moment!" I told them. "It's okay, we'll make sure you guys will kiss each other before the sun goes down." Jason said. Sarah looked in the direction that Rebecca and Abby walked away in and Sarah started walking in the direction too. "Guys, I'll be back."

I frowned looking down at the table while Vinny and Madison and Jason came and sat next to me. "Dude don't worry! You're going to kiss her. I promise." Madison said as he patted me on the back. "Yeah, and this time we won't interrupt or intrude." Vinny added. I nodded. I longed her lips on mine and that was about to happen but it didn't.

Abby, Sarah, and Rebecca came and sat at the table and the awkward silence came over all of us until Madison spoke. "Let's go on the feris wheel, the fireworks are about to go off and we would have a better view from the ferris wheel. "We all nodded in agreement and got up. Rebecca walked infront with Abby and Sarah and didn't even bother to look my way. Great, now she hates me. I thought to myself. I walked pass Jason and Madison and Sarah noticed I was behind them. She make a face to Abby and both of them walked backwards and let me walk next to Rebecca. She looked at me from the corner of her eyes. I moved to the side and bent down to "tie my shoes". Everyone passed me without looking but Rebecca slowed down to wait for me.
