Chapter Twenty

(Guess who updated! Me! Ahaha, I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been really busy with school but it's a 3-day weekend and you know what that means.... I'll update again! *Rebecca's POV*

I woke up to find a snoring Kyle on the floor. I chuckled to myself and walked downstairs to the kitchen. I poured myself a cup of coffee and grabbed some toast with butter. I walked back upstairs and closed the door and sat on my bed. I was looking at Kyle sleeping and eating my toast when I remembered our fight last night. He said that I was stupid for dating Mikey so soon and kept going on and on about it. But most importantly, he, my best friend since first grade, the one who would help me with girl problems, treats me more like a brother than a sister, told me, me, he loves me. I wonder if he meant he loves me more than a friend? Of course he meant more then a friend! Should I pretend that I didn't hear him? Or question him about it? Before I made up my mind on how to act, he woke up. He let a groan escape his lips and rubbed his eyes. I just looked at him without making a sound.

"Good morning Becca." He smiled and yawned. "Good morning Kyle." I said and smiled back. "What are plans for today?" I said and stood up. I took my phone that was on the night stand and there was a text from Sarah.

*Becca! Beach! Today! 12! Be there!*

I laughed. Kyle walked next to me and grabbed my plate with the half eaten toast and smiled. I nodded. "Eat." I texted Sarah back, where and she said Point Pleasant Beach. "We are going to the beach! Come on! Get ready! We have one hour!" I said as I walked to my closet picking out an outfit. Kyle laughed and took his clothes in his hands and walked to my private bathroom. "Um, Rebecca? When you fall alseep last night?" He said me. I knew this was coming. "Right after I layed down. I was really tired! Why?" I asked him and he shook his head. "Oh- Just asking." He said and walked into my bathroom. I sighed and sat down on my hard-wooden floor and put my hand on my forehead.

*Mikey's POV*

I felt cold water splash on my face and I got up so fast. I opened my eyes and saw Nicolette. "What the fuck Nick?!" I yelled and she rolled her eyes. "Oh get over yourself grumpy. We can going to the beach with everyone, so get ready!" She said as she walked to my bedroom door. "Rebecca will be there!" I said with a grin and walked to her room.

Rebecca. Beach. Girlfriend. Summer. I thought to myself and smiled, but then remembered the other part... Kyle. Friend. Sleepover. Too close. I sighed and walked over to my drawers and pulled out a t-shirt and bathing suit bottoms. I put them on and gelled my hair to perfection. I told on deodorant, brushed my teeth and grabbed my phone. No new messages. I walked downstairs to see an impatient Nicolette and my mom next to her, with the car keys in her hand. "Ready sweetheart?" My mom asked me. I nodded my head and followed them to our car. It was 12:37. My mom started driving to the beach and we had to pick up Nick on our way there. We passed Rebecca's house, and Nora's car wasn't in the driveway.

I'm not going to let him ruin the day, our day...

*Rebecca's POV*

"Come on!" I yelled to Kyle as I ran towards the sand. I heard him laughing and running behind me. I stopped short and so did he. "What's wrong?" Kyle asked. I pulled out my phone and unlocked it. "I'm going to call my friends, to see where they are." I was about to touch Abby's name to call her when I was tackled to the sandy floor. "Becca!" Louis yelled in my ear while hugging me. "Louis!" I yelled back and hugged me. He got off of me and helped me up. "Thanks Lou, no I can't hear!" I told he and smiled. "Rebecca!" Angelica said. Behind Louis was Angelica, Jason, and Sarah. "Guys!" I ran to them and hugged each one.
