This is gonna be really short but oh well. Anyway so while I'm on break I decided to make a short chapter more like a flash chapter. Anyway so in honor of getting 600 reads I decided to post this. It make sense why I used this in the next chapter so anyway since soulfulbrina loves being emotional, I decided I'd post this now instead of after that chapter. It's short 300 words but I'll post another one about something else that happened.

*Ten years ago*

"Luuccaas, I wanna play," I wined.
"Maya, hold on let me finish this game, then you can play." I marched over to him, stomping my feet with my arms crossed and sit down next to him.
Two minutes later, Lucas let me join him. Him and I kept yelling, but we didn't even notice.
"What the hell is going on," a voice yelled. Lucas and I both stop playing the game and look over.
   "Sorry," we both say.
"What did I say about yelling," he said, yelling back. I could tell he was drunk. Not that he ever was before, but I had seen my dad, not Shawn my birth dad, drunk once or twice.
   "Dad, please don't,"  Lucas begged.
"Or what Lucas your gonna what," the yelling just kept getting louder so I covered my ears. I didn't know what was happening, but Lucas got up and the yelling kept going. I closed my eyes.
When I opened them back up I saw glass on the floor and Lucas bleeding. I uncover my ears to be presented with more yelling. This time not by Lucas's dad but by Lucas's mom. I walk over to Lucas, who's in utter shock and hug him. He doesn't say anything or make any sound, but I can tell he's crying by the drops going down my shirt. Then the yelling stopped, but is proceeded by a slammed door.
"Lucas oh my gosh," his mom says. Lucas and I are still hugging when she hugs both of us. "Come on Luc let me get you cleaned up." I let go of him and his mom takes him to the bathroom, me following behind. His face was bleeding and so was his finger, from the glass I'm assuming. I don't know I never asked.
I had never seen his dad like that or his mom and I hoped I would never see him like that again.
