Chapter 13

The rest of the day was horrible. Usually I listen to music when I'm not feeling great. Today's selection was I hate you I love you and Tell me it's okay- Gnash, Unsteady- X Ambassadors, Habits- Tove lo, Needed me- Rihanna, and Treat you better- Shawn Mendes. Let's just say I wasn't in a lovey-dovey mood. The rest of the day I did my homework, ate, and slept.
  
   *Beep* *beep* 7:00. I slam my alarm clock off, get ready, and go to Lucas's room. Surprisingly, he's awake. "Woah, huckleberry's awake... and I didn't even have to hit him."
   "Ha-ha." I walk up to him and punch him in the arm.
   "So, what made you get up this morning?"
   "Well, first, ow," he says cupping arm, "I'm still sore. But to answer your question, Riley wants us to go to the her apartment earlier than usually." I nod and walk around the room.
   Deciding to break the silence I ask him a question, "why did you tell Farkle we kissed?" This was gonna be the first time we talked about it.
    "I needed to tell someone." Probably the stupidest reason ever.
    "Of all the people why Farkle why not Zay." Farkle is probably the only person close to Josh besides Riley, being his niece, and I, being his girlfriend.
   "I told Farkle AND Zay." I just sigh, no response. "Maya I'm sorry if Josh found out."
   "He did."
   "Did you guys break up?"
   "No, but he wants us to 'think'."  Say making quotation marks around think.
   "Think about what?
   I shrugged, "me and him,"  and me and you. He nods his head and looks at his alarm clock.
   "We should get going, so we can see what Riley needs to talk to us about." I nod and we walk through the living room, out of the apartment.

   Ten minutes later, we got to Riley's apartment. We crawl through the bay window and sit down. "Hey Riles."
   Riley walks over to the window and sits in between Lucas and I.
   "Hey peaches." She inhales deeply and wraps her arm around me. "Farkle and Josh told me that you two kissed." Lucas looks straight at her and I just look down.
   "I'll let you two talk." Lucas gets up and walls into the hall, closing the door behind him. Coward.
   "Look Riles I-"
   "Do you like him?
   "What?"
   "If you do I'll back off. I don't want us to fight over a guy."
   "Neither do I." She looks at me waiting for my response to the question. "Riley I don't know. I love Lucas, it's hard not to, but I always have, as a brother. I haven't thought about him in another way." I just lied to Riley.
   "Peaches, if you do, tell me." And with that she hugs me. "Lucas, you can come back in here." He peeks his head in.
   "Everything good?" He asks. I glare at him, but Riley's response is different.
   "Yup. Everything's perfect." I smile and go along with it.

   ''Totally."

Short, but I updated yesterday so it's like 900 words combined, but oh well ill update Thursday... maybe Wednesday
