A Million Tears

Star's pov
The party already started and me, Xavier, Dick, Wally, Gar, Vic, Roy, and Rachel are drinking as we were chatting. I stared at Dick and he looks handsome every time I stare at him. Then Kitten arrives at the party. Ugh not her again. She walks over to my boyfriend and pulls his hand and started dancing with her. I had a repulsive reaction as he takes my boyfriend right in front of me. "Star you fine?" Dick asks. "Yeah." I replied back. "Are you sure that you are. Because Kitten is kissing Xavier." Dick replies as he looks at him with disgust. "What?!" I looked up and Xavier is kissing Kitten. As I felt a thousand tears try to fall down my face I hold them back. Xavier is a cheater and always will be. As he walks over to me he has a smile.

But I'm not smiling. "Hey Star what's the matter?" He asked. In the instant I had slapped him in his face and he rubs his cheek and everyone started looking at us. "You son of a bitch don't ever talk to me again." I replied walking away. "Star baby wait?!" He pulls me by the arm. "No no no don't touch me. I think you'll be fine off without me. Bye Xavier." I returned the promise ring back to him and walked out the door. "Kori..." I slammed the door shut and started walking outside crying. Tears started to fill up in my eyes and I couldn't hold them back. Tears fell down one by one as I sat on the bench in front of my house. "Kori!"

I looked up and it's Dick. "Dick! What are you doing here?" I asked him casually and got up. "I just wanted to talk to you that's all." Dick smiles and it makes my heart beat faster than ever.

"Um Dick what happened to your hand? It's all covered in blood." I looked at his hand. I opened his hand up and it's all covered in blood. "What happened back there?" I asked. "I don't want to talk out here can we go inside somewhere?" Dick asks softly.
I nodded and leaded him in my house. "So what happened?"
"Right after you fought with Xavier I just didn't like how he treated you. Xavier wasn't like this and he deserved it." Dick explains.
"You punched him? Dick what about ya'll relationship?" I asked.

"If he ever hurts a girl like you I have no right to be his friend for the most part. I really care about you than Xavier." He replies serious. Awe Richard. So he would care about me more than his best friend? "Oh okay. I'm sorry that I ruined your come back celebration. Here if you ever want to talk here's my number. I best be going..." He grabs my wrist and I looked back at him. "Yes Dick." I replied. He firmly places his hands on my shoulders and pulls me forward into a kiss. My eyes soften as I feel his warm sensation in my mouth. "Mm." I closed my eyes and I kissed back. Dick pulls away. "See you later Kori!" He walks away. "Eh..." What just happened just now. He just kissed me. Should I run after him or give up until tomorrow?
