Seasons: Summer (Chapter 1- Sophie)

Chapter 1: Sophie

Sophie's eyes snapped open. Her room was still cold even though the suns warmth is entering the place. Sophie rolled over the right side of her bed. She stared at her clock. It's 8:01 am. She sat up and settled her feet on the cold floor, and stared at her window, where the dim and golden glow of the sun was passing through. Sophie sighed as she remembered something while looking at the tree past the street where birds flew around.

" I hope Jeremy is awake at this time " Sophie wondered.

Sophie stood up and began moving towards the bathroom. She took a bath, and after a couple of

minutes, Sophie got out of the bathroom with a towel wrapping her body. She took clothes from her

closet, and wore them. Then she faced the mirror to fix her hair. Sophie has been this vain when it comes to her looks, what would you expect from a cosplayer?

* knocking on the door *

" Sophie, Jeremy is here! " Mrs. Beckens' voice appeared through the door.

" I'm coming mom! " Sophie replied.

As she finished fixing her hair she quickly grabbed her phone and her Teemo hat, yes Sophie is

one of those girls which they call "gamer-girls".

Then she made her way to the door. As she was about to exit, she remembered something.

" Crap, almost forgot my bag " Sophie cursed as she snapped her fingers.

She grabbed her bag and went outside her room. As she was passing through the hallway, going

to their house's living room. Sophie checked her things if she left something important. Then she

reached the living room, and she found Jeremy sitting on the couch.

" Well someone's miraculously not late today " Sophie said to get the

attention of Jeremy.

" Oh, Hi " Jeremy greeted with a smile as he stood up.

" Hi " Sophie greeted back.

" So~, let's go? " Jeremy asked.

" Uhmmm, wait a sec " Sophie told Jeremy.

Sophie went and peeked at the corner of the kitchen, and she found her mother chopping some vegetables.

" Mom, uhmmm, I have to go now " Sophie asked permission.

" Okay honey, take care and just call me when something happens " Mrs. Beckens replied.

Then Sophie went outside their house with Jeremy. Sophie saw the car which Jeremy always used when he goes to school. A red Ford Fiesta, then Sophie noticed that Jeremy's sister, Jasmine Chapman was on the back seat. Listening to music through her ear phones.

" So I see that your sister decided to come " Sophie concluded.

" Na, I forced her " Jeremy replied.

Then both of them entered the car and sat on the front seats, and both of them buckled up their seat belts as they began the five-hour trip to the cabin which Jeremy's family owns. Sophie watched the road as it was like, walking on its own.

" Have you eaten breakfast yet? " Jeremy suddenly asked Sophie.

" To be honest- " Sophie attempted to speak.

" No? " Jeremy interrupted.

" Uhmm, well, yeah " Sophie replied with that cute and shy tone.

Then Jeremy lowered the speed of the vehicle and grabbed a plastic bag and gave it to Sophie.

" What's this? " Sophie asked.

" One of your favorites " Jeremy answered.

" Fried shrimps! Thank you, you're really the best! " Sophie said with amazement as she opened the plastic bag and found a container of rice and fried shrimps.

" By the way Jeremy, can you drive slowly? " Sophie requested.

" Why? " Jeremy asked.

" Oh, okay " Jeremy replied and giggled.

Then they continued slowly  the five-hour drive with Sophie eating her favorite food, fried shrimps.
