Chapter 8- Sophie

All of the tents were all up and logs were around the bonfire which the group started. Jeremy was sitting beside Sophie and Jasmine.

" Hey guys I'm gonna get my guitar, hey Jeremy did you bring yours? " a friend of Jeremy named Tom began to speak.

" Yeah, I'll go with ya' " Jeremy answered as he stood up.

As Jeremy left Sophie began to feel out of place. She wanted to talk to Jasmine but Jasmine was busy texting his boyfriend. And besides Jasmine is more than an introvert than Sophie herself.

" Hey " a girls voice called Sophie's attention.

The voice came from one of Jeremy's friends named Naomi.

" Hi " Sophie replied with a smile.

" I'm Naomi " Naomi introduced herself.

" Sophie, Sophie Beckens " Sophie introduced herself also.

" Nice to meet you " Naomi said.

" Same here, how long have you been friends with Jeremy? " Sophie asked.

" Well I met him yesterday when he invited my brother Tom to join the trip " Naomi answered.

" Oh, so you're the sister of Tom Conors " Sophie said.

" Yeah " Naomi answered.

Tom Conors was one of the classmates of Jeremy and Sophie, he once courted Sophie. But Jeremy was the only guy whom Sophie liked. A few moments passed and Jeremy and Tom returned and they brought their guitars.

" I'm going to check the grill if the barbeques are ready " Naomi told Sophie.

" Okay " Sophie answered.

Jeremy sat down beside Sophie again with his guitar.

" Dude you still have that junk? " Sophie asked.

" Hey don't treat it as junk " Jeremy told er.

" Yeah because it has a sentimental value to you and stuff like that " Sophie answered.

" But you owned that since we were in sixth grade " Sophie added.

" Ill buy one when I save enough money! " Jeremy answered with a higher tone.

Jeremy walked away angrily and sat beside Tom and with two other friends. Naomi called everyone to eat barbeque, and every ate. Sophie felt bad as she knew that what she has said was wrong.
