The moment I was stepping off of the stage, I saw her. That was her. I'm positive it was her. I remember from the tape that Mark showed me. Knowing that this would be our first meeting was somewhat intimidating. I'm a real laid back guy when it comes to group socialization. She was a foxy little thing from afar. Her jeans fitting well and round around her thickest areas. I caught myself staring for a little bit. It doesn't matter how she looks, her energy will tell all. I'm not leaping toward anything after that mess with Denise. It took too much of me. I never understood why the girl just don't know when to quit. All I want is peace and with everybody in my life perfectly elevated, I rather not risk sinking my own ship for a pair of drawers.
I pointed, "I know you."
As I approached the group of girls, there she was standing at the side of the stage with a bright, freshly whitened smile. "Lyric, it's nice to meet you!" She was smiling too hard. Her hair was in a short pixie cut but it peeked from beneath her hat. Brown was her color and her skin looked as smooth as it can be. She looked sweet like brown sugar.
"I saw you on the Helen Rogers show," I said. Lyric gave off a genuinely excited energy as if she were a bubblegum popping teenager. She couldn't be any older than twenty could she? I look at her company with curiosity before looking back at her. She's got another dame standing beside her with the same exact face and beautiful brown skin she has, except this damn has pretty long hair and a lot more makeup.
"This is my sister, Aaliyah," I take her and hold it for a couple seconds. You always look a woman in her eyes. Her reaction will tell you all that you need to know. Without uttering the slightest sound, she let me know I could take her home if I wanted. Aaliyah didn't give off the impression of an easy dame. She gave the impression that she wanted me. She gave me a grown and sexy feeling with the look in her eyes. I like that. I let go and Aaliyah cleared her throat. Yeah, she's mighty fly alright. She's beautiful.
"Double the trouble, huh?"
From personal experience, the first twin and never the one you jump for. You always need to see the both of them side to side. While Lyric and Aaliyah are the epitome of identical, they present themselves in the way of polar opposites. Lyric looks earthy. Her feet and planet firmly the ground. She's got that warm smile. Lyric's the girl your mom wants you to bring home. Aaliyah...
"More like double the pleasure." Aaliyah smirked and threw a lock of hair over her shoulder. My eyes brightened at the suggestion of me having the both of these twins to myself.
Aaliyah's the girl you and your old man laugh about over a game of pool.
My attention is stolen by the discomfort on Lyric's face as she stepped forward. "Or maybe simply double the fun!" Lyric laughed in an awkward way. It was clear that she wasn't cool with that. "Anyway..." She turned to motion to a third dame. "This is my best friend, Alexis." I grabbed her hand as well and shake it. She was the brownest of the three with short curly hair and bright red lipstick that made her lips pop. Alexis was a beautiful woman too, not as beautiful as Lyric. Lyric was gorgeous but not as sexy as Aaliyah. At the same time had an amazing grace about her. All three were easy on the eyes.
