*Aurora's POV*

After taking me home from the party last night, Zayn sent me to my dungeon (aka my 'room'), and went to bed. I'm pretty sure he's never letting me out the house alone ever again.

It's not healthy for an average-ish teenage girl to be cooped up in a house all summer.

I can't sneak out again- that won't work. If I want to leave the house, I must ask him for permission. He would most-likely say no though.

I sat up slowly in bed, looking around my familiar bedroom. The scent of pancakes cascaded the air.

I grabbed my phone to check the messages

I grabbed my phone to check the messages.

From Kayla: Didn't see you at the party? Where were you?

To Kayla: Remember that hot babysitter I told you about?

From Kayla: Yeah...

To Kayla: He caught me.

From Kayla: Bummer.... Can you hang with me today?!?!?

To Kayla: Maybe. Idk. The babysitter might say no. You know how that shit go...

From Kayla: Ha! Loving the song reference. I'm going to the beach with Liam @ twelve. The one we usually go to. Just to relax.

To Kayla: Be back in a few. Going to ask Zayn if I can go.

With that, I put my phone back on to the nightstand, and walked wearily to the kitchen. I knew he was in there- I could smell the pancakes.

I walked in to the kitchen, greeted Zayn (even though he didn't respond), and calmly sat down next to George.

"Hey, little man!" I ruffled his hair, and he smiled up at me. We may fight a lot, but we're still family. At the end of the day, we can always call ourselves friends.

I propped my elbows up on the kitchen counter, rest my head in my hands, and looked at Zayn innocently. I tilted my head for extra effect.

"Soooo...... " He glanced over his shoulder. Even from behind he looks good.

Lord help me....

"Yeah?" He goad me to continue.

Okay. So he's not ignoring me anymore.

"My friend Kayla, you know, the one that had the party last night, she invited me to the beach to hang out and relax..." I started awkwardly. He turned around, probably because he could hear my awkwardness, and wanted to see it too. "I was wondering if I could go......... You can come....if you don't want me to go alone." I cringed internally. I'm old enough to go out by myself.

He stared at me for a few more seconds before nodding his head slowly.

I perked up, and sat straighter, taking notice of his apron which said 'Caution! Hot stuff coming through'. He is some hot stuff.
