*Aurora's POV*

We broke the 'hug', but our eyes were still locked. He finally broke eye contact a few moments later, and immediately averted his eyes to the ground.

Woah.

I sat down on the sand next to George, trying to catch myself. What just happened?

I think Zayn and I just connected on a spiritual level..........Yup, that's it!

I've gone completely insane........................or should I say.........inZayn.......?

"Can you help me with my sandcastle?" George looked up at me with his big, blue eyes. I looked down at his lopsided castle. That needs more help than me. Maybe not.

"Yeah, sure."

For the next half hour, I helped George with his sand castle, and I realized that he was actually being nice.......I shit you not!

He was a complete angel.

Anyway, my butt was starting to hurt, so I decided to go for a little walk.

Liam and Zayn were nowhere to be seen, and Kayla was asleep.................who sleeps at the beach?

"George, do you want to go for a walk?" I bent down to his level. He nodded.

Kayla will be fine by herself............I think.

I held his hand, and started walking down the beach. I loved the feeling of the sand between my toes, and the wind blowing through my hair. George and I probably looked like we could be in a LMN movie about a psycho babysitter right now, but that's beside the point. The walk was silent, and the beach was empty.

This beach was long, and I wasn't in the mood to walk to the end, so I turned around. As I turned around, I bumped into a tall, pale guy. He had blonde hair, and blue eyes, like my brother. Didn't he see me?

"Uh, sorry." I gained my balance, and continued walking in the opposite direction as him.

"Aurora." My name rang on his lips. How does he even know my name?

"And George." My brother looked up at me, his eyes turning a darker shade of blue.

I was about to make a run for it, thinking he was probably some creepy, stalker guy from Instagram, but he grabbed my arm. I tried pulling away, but it was like he had some kind of super human strength.

He squeezed it even harder, making me scream.

"George, go get help!" I let go of his hand, and he ran as fast as he could, but the guy that was holding my arm caught him in no time.........Because he had super speed......like Zayn.

He's a vampire too.

I tried not to think about all of the endless possibilities, but as usual, my brain just can't shut up.

What does he even want?

*Zayn's POV*

Something's wrong. I was walking back to the car with Liam to get some more sunscreen, when I got that feeling.

It was a mix of fear and pain.....from Aurora.

When you get a feeling that strong, you shouldn't ignore it.

I don't really know what happened, but I feel like I'm connected to her. I can feel what she feels.

I raced back to where I left her, sitting in the sand with George, but she wasn't there. I felt another pang of pain, and I knew it was still her. I ran down the beach following the vibrations. I finally found her.

A tall man was pulling her and George further down the beach.

He was a vampire; I could smell it.

What would a vamp be doing capturing a human without actually drinking their blood?

I ran up to him, and punched him in his jaw. He went down, but came back up.

Aurora grabbed at her arm, which, by the way, wasn't looking too good, and that just made me angrier. What the hell!

"Run!" I ordered her. She and George ran down the beach frantically.

It wasn't long before I finished this guy off. He went back to where he came from.

I used my super speed to go back to our little camp.

Kayla and Liam were sitting in their chairs, but Aurora and George weren't there.

I raised an eyebrow at Liam, and he answered my silent question.

"In the car."

I nodded a goodbye to them, and made my way to the vehicle calmly, although my thoughts were everything but calm. When I got there, Aurora was in the front passenger seat. Tears were streaming down her face, and I swear, I was about to shit my heart out.

I sat down in the driver's seat next to her, and gently held her arm. A certain area on her arm was black, purple, and blue. That most definitely isn't healthy.

I immediately bit into my arm, and told her to drink, but she just wouldn't budge. It's just blood. At least I didn't give her piss to drink.

"On a scale of one to ten, how much does it hurt?" I asked her. She held up seven fingers.

"Do you want it to stop hurting?"

She nodded vigorously, her lips quivering.

"Then drink." I held eye contact, knowing that if I did, I could use my power on her and she would finally drink, but she did something brave.

She closed her eyes, grabbed my arm and drank. She was reluctant in swallowing, but she did it anyway. When she was finished, a look of relief clouded the pain on her face.

All the while, George was in the backseat, cowering away from the scene.

"Thank you." She opened her eyes, and slouched back down into her seat.

Lucky for me, she didn't ask any questions. She didn't freak out either.

I don't have any idea as to what that guy was going to do, but it probably wasn't good.

Maybe he was sent by the council, but what would they want? Why would they try to hurt her?

I pushed all my thoughts aside, and focused on driving.

There's one thing I'm sure of. I have to keep Aurora safe.
