*Aurora's POV*

After my little breakfast date-which went on uneventfully- I went back home. Again, there's nowhere else for me to go.

Zayn came to see me, and I told him about my dream. He wrote down what I said, and left.

No nicknames, no code signs, not even a proper hello. Everything was so bland between us- so different.

I guess I brought it upon myself. I was the one to bring this whole set up to light.

I'll get accustomed to it though.

I'm sure.

-----One month later-----

Everything is crumbling. My mom is getting sicker, and I'm still struggling with the fact that things with Zayn are not the same.

My mother isn't working anymore. She's just lying in bed, day after day. I can't even do anything to help. Nothing is working, and my dad and I don't know what to do.

And you know what makes matters worse? A dream I had. A messed up, twisted dream.

We were in a forest(We as in my dad, my mother, Zayn, and some ugly, old lady whom I have never seen in my life). I'm still not sure if I was actually there.

My mom was standing, looking healthy and strong, while my dad was having a very intense conversation with the old lady. Zayn was just standing there, watching everything go down like me.

Suddenly, the woman (I know now that she is a witch) raised her arm, and sent my mother flying. My dad tried to stop her, but there was some sort of shield around her.

"Mom! No, stop! You're hurting her!" I screamed, but the old witch threw her around like a ragdoll. No one but Zayn seemed to hear my pleads.

That's when I woke up.

Apparently, everything I said in the dream, I said it out loud. So, my dad heard the screaming and came running into my room. When I told him about the dream, he didn't quite understand either, but I think he knew something.

"Aurora, I'm leaving for a couple of days- maybe longer. I need you to take care of your mother. Your brother is coming with me- He's going by Aunt Lily."

"Wait, what?" I was confused. Why was he leaving? Where was he going? I wanted to come. Right now, he was the only person I had left.

He looked me in the eyes.

"I need you to understand. This is important. Just take care of your mother until I get back."

He stood up to leave. When he was standing in my doorway, he stopped and turned around.

"I'll leave in the morning."
