*Aurora's POV*

I was in a mansion-like home. It was night, and everyone was asleep.

A man in all black appeared. He looked around, but he didn't seem to see me- or maybe, I wasn't really there. He sneaked into one of the rooms, and locked the door behind him. There was a loud racket, but that was it.

I woke up from this dream like any normal person would- confused and bewildered.

I assumed that this dream was about the vampire clan, so I sent Zayn a text. He had a babysitting job at the moment, so I would see him later.

I called Kayla to see if she wanted to hang out, and she told me to meet her at the Café down the street in about an hour for breakfast. Maybe a little best friend time would help me get my mind off Zayn.

-----1 HOUR LATER-----

I went into my mom's room to tell her where I'm going, seeing as my dad went to work

I went into my mom's room to tell her where I'm going, seeing as my dad went to work. She was lying in bed.

"Hey, mom." I stopped in front of her bed, "You're not working today?"

She coughed, making her chest rattle. It sounded like an earthquake.

"You're sick." I stated the obvious. This is the first time in a long while. My mom barely even gets sick.

"I can stay home today, if you want." I wanted to take care of her.

"No, no. I'm not going to spoil your fun." She sat up a little more to drink some water.

I've always hated seeing my mom sick. To think that when I was sick, she would take care of me.

"Are you sure? I don't have a problem with staying home today. It's fine." I prodded.

"No. You go out with your friends. Just don't stay out too long." She lied back down onto her pillow, "Your father told me you stayed out past curfew last night."

"Yes, I know, and I'm sorry. I just wasn't paying attention to the time." I told her the truth.

I really didn't want to worry her, but it seemed as though I did quite the opposite- she was smiling.

"So....... You went out with Zayn."

Oh.

"Um, yeah. But, it wasn't erm a date." I felt really weird talking to my mom about this. She didn't have one clue as to what really was going on.

"M'kay." She didn't believe me.

"I'm just going to leave now." I rushed out of the room, locking the door behind me.

Did she actually think I went out with Zayn?

Even though I was hurt by what happened, I would do everything all over again, and I wouldn't change a thing. I was happy for a while, and I guess, that was all that mattered.
