*Aurora's POV*

When we arrived home, I walked into my home expecting nothing but an empty house, but what I found was as valuable as two tons of diamonds. My parents sat around the island, talking to each other.

I ran to hug them. They were confused, but hugged me back anyways.

A big burden was lifted off my back. They were safe.

"Mom! Dad!" They smiled at me, although they were probably wondering what type of drugs I got my hands on.

Zayn just stood there awkwardly, wondering what to do. He had already gotten paid.

"Glad to see you smiling so brightly." My dad commented, "I'm beat, so I'm just going to get some rest."

They both made their way upstairs, leaving Zayn and I behind.

"They're actually okay. I don't know how, but they are."

He smiled back at me, making him look extra handsome.

"Let's talk." He chortled as I showed off my happy dance.

We went to the living room, and took a seat in front the T.V.

*Zayn's POV*

If I ask now, she'll probably say no, because her parents are alright. What am I supposed to do then?

"I have a proposal." I began carefully.

I told her everything- all the little details, and all the big details. In return, I got a dumb-founded expression, and an inhumane noise. She obviously didn't understand, or she was just confused.

"What do you say?" I asked. It felt like forever before she answered.

"No. Of course, not." She sighed, averting her eyes to the ground," I'm sorry. I don't think I want to make such a life-changing decision."

I understand her words, but the Council will eventually get their way. They won't be happy with my feedback.

"Okay." I brought her chin up, so she could look me in the eyes.

"I understand."

I nodded, then she nodded, then I nodded, then she nodded, then I nodded, then she nodded.... You get the jist.

It all looked really retarded, but I liked when she acted stupid. It was hilarious.

By nightfall, we were watching T.V, but soon, the T.V became background noise. We were talking about everything and anything. The conversation never lagged, and everything felt perfect.

"I didn't even know you could sing." She reminisced the surprising moment in the car, "It was amazing."

"You weren't so bad yourself." She was awful, but I wasn't going to be the one to say it.

"I'm horrendous, and you know it." She admitted proudly. She said it, not me.

"Yeah, I do know that."

We laughed, thinking back to when she tried to hit a high note in Memories. My ears were ringing for the rest of the ride, and I'm pretty sure George went temporarily deaf.

It really was bad, but right now, I live for those moments. I live for any moment with Aurora.

Anyways, the night ended when I realized the time. It was getting late. I left, wishing I could spend just one more hour with her.

The next day, I went in to the Council, and told them she turned down my proposal. They were calm about it..... That's not normal.

Usually, if they can't have their way, they'll do whatever it takes. They'd kill, steal, and lie. They were a crazy bunch of people.

I know they're thinking of something, and soon, I'll know just what it is.
