*Aurora's POV*
After they left, I sat there in the living room, the numb feeling from the night before coming back. I didn't think about anything.
I couldn't think of anything.
I was finally shot back to reality when my mom called for me. I rushed to her room.
"Yes, mom." She sat up in her bed slowly.
"Can you make me some oatmeal, please?" She sneezed loudly, groaning afterwards.
"Okay." I replied sadly. I wasn't sad because I had to cook- I was sad because she was sick. I wanted everything to just go back to the way it was, even though back then wasn't so good.
I made the oatmeal just the way she likes it- a lot of milk and just a drip of essence.
After giving her the oatmeal, I had my own breakfast- a coffee cup of blood. I felt much better, but that didn't make my situation better.
I took a shower, and got dressed, deciding to just pull through this.
*Zayn's POV*
She really doesn't want anything to do with me. It hurts, but I have to keep moving. Soon, our clan is going to take over.
Aurora saved the clan from ambush quite a few times. I have that to thank her for. She's a very valuable member of the Council now, although she never actually saw our little village.
Something's going on. I can feel it.
She's not telling me anything, so I couldn't help- even though I wanted to.
Every time I go over to her house, she's so different. She's so professional, like this was just business.
I thought we had something.
