I'm an observer.

I'm not afraid to admit it, I'm not embarrassed about it.

And no, I most definitely will not listen to you say it's weird.

Is it wrong that I see so much? That I crave the rawness of the world?

Is it weird that seeing a couple in love holding hands draws me in, the same way an elder person takes pictures in the park?

It's not weird, it's magical.

The way I can look around and see how everything is so charming. The sunlight that filters through the leaves of a tree. The way a young girl tucks lose strands of hair behind her ear as she reads a sci-fi novel.

The way a man pulls out a chair for a lady to sit in, and even the way she nods at him thankful for his generosity.

The way a waitress, stressful from the weeks work, stops to genuinely smile and greet the regulars.

So fellow observers, you don't have to hide in shame for something you find beautiful.

You enjoy the simple things life has to offer. The world needs more of you.
