"You're sure that this is happening?" Lynn asked the werewolf as she looked at the two pages given to the paranormal.

"All of this is from the demon's last accomplice," Kenya informed the hunter, "The only thing I don't know is when this thing is going to perform the actual spell."

"Full moon," The human responded, "Scientists know that the moon influences things on earth, like the tides, and the amount of energy witches can use."

"So the demon is most likely chose a witch for a host body."

Lynn nodded while looking over the paperwork again. "Now, if worse comes to worse and the spirit does complete the spell, the way to stop it all is to kill the host body after exorcising the demon. But in order to keep the demon from escaping and jumping into another host, you need one of these." The huntress grabbed a scrap piece of paper and drew out a star encased in a circle with symbols around it. "This is a devil's trap, better known as a Key of Solomon," She disclosed, "It holds the spirit and then, upon the exorcism, it forces the demon back to hell."

"Right." The two women were sitting in Kenya's room while Brian took care of the office. Kenya peered through her window again to see the hunter sitting back and watching the front desk. "Thing is, we tried this whole exorcism thing with a few witches and that's how we got here," She conveyed, "I need to know that this thing won't come back. Ever."

Lynn crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, taking offense to the lycan's statement. "Look, if the exorcism didn't work the first time, then your witch friends are idiots." The she wolf's eyes widened in shock of Lynn's words. "We've dealt with demons before, and each time, we've sent them back to Hell. But just to make sure, we'll need to take a trip in the morning, get some extra supplies just in case things go wrong."

"Fine by me," Kenya agreed and they both stood, the lycan twin cleaning up her space while Lynn stood back and watched the wolf move around diligently. Nothing about the paranormal seemed to have changed, but upon their first encounter, everything about Kenya was different. The human in the room noticed - like everyone else had - Kenya's depressed demeanor, her tired brown eyes, but Lynn could see something no one else could see.

Terror.

There was terror in Kenya's eyes, something this human never expected to see, but it was there. Kenya was afraid to go to fall asleep, fearful of what she would dream about. She was like a child horrified of the monster in the closet or the idea of the boogie man.

Lynn wanted to say something, and opened her mouth to question Kenya about what was troubling her, but that would draw the human girl back to five years ago, and she promised herself to never go back to that dark time in her life.

"So I'm going to guess that asking for a drink at this time of night is out of the question?" It was one in the morning and Kenya wanted a drink, something to break the ice between the girl and herself. "'Cause I could really use a drink."

Lynn remembered how much Kenya relied upon alcohol five years ago. It wasn't an addiction, but it was close. Remembering this brought a small smile to her lips, but it quickly faded because the hunter didn't want her supposed enemy to feel at ease talking with her. "You shouldn't go out tonight. There are a few hunters that roll through town, and if they get the slightest hint that there a paranormal is staying here, they'll kill you."

Kenya wasn't afraid of a few hunters and their trashy guns and crossbows; she could tell Lynn knew that. But the lycan had to think smart, about her pack, her brother waiting be or her, and her town. They were first priority, so if the human said to stay indoors, then she would stay indoors.

Funny thing was that Lynn didn't visualize the she wolf submitting so easily. The huntress knew Kenya as one who didn't get shoved around, or told what to do. The she wolf was the commander, the chief of the situation usually, and to hear Kenya agree to Lynn's request caused the human to wonder if Kenya was telling the truth about having her memory erased. Kenya walked Lynn to her door and both women went for the door handle, their fingers touching for just a few seconds.

But that's all it took for Kenya and Lynn to see a flashback from five years ago.

The she wolf and the huntress gasped as they saw the same image of their hands intertwined on the forest floor, then an image of the two in close proximity while sitting under a large oak tree on top of a plaid blue and white cover. Kenya was smiling and Lynn was captured in the lycan's eyes, and the she wolf was making circles on the back of Lynn's hand with her thumb.

The vision ended and the two women moved apart. Kenya looked at the girl before her and wondered what that vision meant. It made her feel warm and safe, loved even. There was no greater feeling than what she felt, but how was that possible? She didn't remember the girl, and she couldn't understand who this girl was, yet she knew that Lynn was someone special to her.

Lynn was standing there, remembering that scene from five years ago, the moment of just pure bliss. The hunter missed moments like that, but then again, that was years ago, and she'd  grown apart from her old memories.

Kenya still held a confused look on her face and she wanted ask what that was about. That memory was too real to forget ever again. But Lynn knew by Kenya's look that she was ready to pose a question, so she went for the door and rushed out, slamming it in the process.

Kenya sat down on the edge of her bed and heaved a sigh. "Now I really need that drink."
