Brendon walked through the front door of his house, his eyes immediately being drawn to the young witch sprawled across his couch. Her head was tilted to the side and a blanket was draped over her, on the verge of falling off. A small grin appeared on his face as he closed the door behind him and walked over to her, adjusting the blanket so that it covered her. Brendon waved the stench of alcohol away from his nose. It was evident that Natalie had found Will's bar and had the time of her life.
He walked over to the counter to see a light colored filing folder placed on the counter with a note on it. This must have been the information Bruno promised. Opening the file and reading the context from the details given, the wizard gathered an idea of where the teens were last seen and knew where to start looking.
Brendon opened the refrigerator and pulled out an ice cold beer, popping the cap open. He tossed the topper on the counter while flipping through a few more of the pages. He noticed that a few of the children were regulars at a few of the werewolf hotspots in town, like the diner close to the university. He thought to give that place a first glance, then look around the local college and ask around for any information concerning the wolves disappearances. He heaved a sigh and took a swig from the can, then a noise sounded from the back door, and Brendon placed his drink down and went to see what could be causing a disturbance in his home.
Brendon peered around the corner, watching as a figure walked past him. That figure? Patrick.
"Hold up," Brendon remarked, causing the vampire's head to snap in his direction, "What are you doing here?"
A nervous chuckle slipped past the clan leader's lips before he bolted out of the house in a flash, the door opening and closing with the blink of an eye and sending a whoosh of air through the house, waking up the snoring and still very drunk witch who met Brendon's gaze from across the room.
"Hey, you're home," She greeted, a devious smirk crawling onto her face, "I've been waiting for you." She lazily smiled and pointed to the man who appeared to be splitting into two people. "Well, the two of you."
Brendon rolled his eyes. "What was he doing here?" The wizard inquired quietly, looking down at his lover's sister.
"What was who doing here?" She replied, tugging at the collar of her nightgown, pulling it further down to reveal her cleavage.
"Patrick. I saw him!"
"You're probably just seeing things, Brendon. Hey, do you wanna make me a sandwich?" Natalie stumbled on her words while getting up and drunkenly tripping over to Brendon.
He ran his hands through his hair, meanwhile Natalie put her arm over his shoulder. "Make me a sandy-wich, witch." She laughed and placed her finger on Brendon's nose, making a small sound effect to go along with it. All the wizard could do was shake his head, knowing that he wasn't just seeing things. He saw Patrick and he wanted to know what he was doing in his house, even though he had a pretty good idea of his intentions of his visit.
"Why don't you take a seat, Nat?" Brendon suggested, directing the intoxicated witch to a spot on the couch, "Better yet, just lie down." Natalie smiled while hugging Brendon in an intimate way. To get her off, he had to shove her on the couch. She reached out and grabbed his pants, trying to get him to meet her on the couch.
"Brendon, make looooove to me!" Natalie screamed and Brendon shoved himself away.
"I-I'm actually going to go up to bed," He told her, blatantly avoiding her advances, "But thanks for the offer." He patted her on the head and escaped upstairs, slipping into his bedroom and turning around to see Rachael with her back to him. She was standing by the dresser, only in her underwear and slipping on an old t-shirt. She heard the floors creak underneath the wizard's feet and glanced over her shoulder at him.
"Hey, you're back," She commented, the corner of her soft pink lips curling upward.
Brendon folded his arms over his chest, fighting within himself to not forget about who had just walked out of the house. "Care to tell me what Patrick was doing here?"
She chuckled. "You won't believe it when I tell you." She walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, shortening the distance between the two of them. "He told me that in order to fight this demon, we need to get all of the factions to unite, and that he wants me to bring together all the witches and wizards. Crazy, right?"
Brendon pushed the girl of his dreams away from him, a hard expression on his face. "Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly what he told you," He replied coldly.
Rachael gave him a weird look. "It...is."
"Then what the fuck were you doing in nothing but your bra and underwear when I walked in?" He yelled at her.
She scoffed. "I was getting changed for bed. You know, it's not the easiest for me anymore just to snap my fingers to change outfits."
The wizard laughed. "Okay, yeah, like I believe that. God, Rachael, I thought you finally moved on from that asshole!" The witch furrowed her eyebrows together, utterly baffled by Brendon's behavior. "Is that where you really went instead of taking your sister around town? To your old fucking house to see Patrick and then bring him back here so that you could fuck him on my bed?"
Rachael's eyes were double their normal size. "What? No!"
"Don't lie to me, Rachael! You know that's exactly what happened!"
"But it's not, Brendon. Nothing happened between him and me, I swear!" She cried, but he wasn't having any of it.
He walked up to her and grabbed her chin in his hand, looking into her eyes and delving into her memory, recalling the past events.
