"New Orleans, huh?" Mack retorted, folding his arms over his chest and taking a glance out of his window, spotting Kenya kicking a pile of crap.

He shook his head, knowing that Kenya was toxic to Lynn. "You know, they've been in the news a lot lately," He mentioned, pulling out a few tools like holy water and devices that locate supernatural beings, as well as a few weapons, "The paranormals down there are sure having a hard keeping their existence a secret. The vampires are resisting wolf rule, and the damned things are doing all these things that risk exposing themselves."

He went over to a gun he'd been working on and quickly put it together. "I just don't understand why they're causing so much trouble. Do they think by doing this they'll get a chance to fit in?" The man laughed to himself. "Because they're batshit crazy if they think they're ever going to fit in."

Lynn sighed. "I know, Mack, but that's beside the point. I need to take the demon down there out and I know you've got what I need."

"Well go ahead, take a look around." He waved to the girl and he glanced outside, not seeing Kenya but observing a few cars rolling up as well. He wasn't familiar with the vehicles and assumed they belonged to more of his enemies. "You may want to invite that she wolf bitch in here to get something for herself as well," Mack spat.

Lynn bit her lip because she hoped that Mack wouldn't notice the woman outside, but it was hard for him not to. The girl rubbed the back of her neck while nodding and heading for the door.

"And if you must, invite the rest of those kids to come in. Jesus, Lynn, any more of those things come around, and I'm going to have to start shooting."

The huntress lifted an eyebrow while running to the door and looking at all the kids approaching the shop. There were five, two spread out around the junkyard, and the rest looking for someone - Kenya.

The looks from those kids could kill, and the girl standing at the door could tell that this was their intention, and Kenya was out there on her own. Lynn ran farther into the shop, "Hey, Mack I think you may get your chance to shoot something," She replied while grabbing two Rugers and their matching bullets, loading them into a magazine and shoving a few more rounds into the waistband of her pants.

"Well this is my day." Mack smiled while loading his double barrel gun cheerfully. "I haven't shot anything in a long time."

"You go hunting every weekend," Lynn shot back while going to the window and scoping out the different positions of the paranormals outside. Mack clicked his gun shut and laughed.

"Yeah, but I haven't shot a paranormal in a while," He announced, "That's the kind of hunt I miss. The chase, the kill shot..." He reminisced like it was the best thing he'd ever done.

"You always were trigger happy." Lynn smirked while quietly jogging over to the rear door, and locking it so there weren't any surprises. "Stay inside and cover me?"

Mack nodded and guarded the front door.

Lynn slipped outside and took the safety off of her gun, beginning her search. There were a few sounds of cracking bones. That noise was too familiar to the huntress, so she approached it quickly and very carefully. She looked around to see two boys shifting into their wolves. She knew the wild habits of young wolves, and based on the way the boys were still handling the changing process, they were new shifters.

The huntress needed higher ground to see what was going on, but it was too late for her to hide, because two girls had come around and spotted the huntress. They charged for the human, tackling her to the ground while at the same time signaling for the other wolves to join them.

Lynn punched the first girl holding her down, but she was too strong, so instead she jabbed her in the back, causing the girl to scream and release the huntress. Lynn took the opportunity to shake the remaining girl off, standing up and pulling out her gun on both female wolves. The girls put their hands up while Lynn pointed the weapon, but a sly smile appeared on their faces.

Two loud barks sounded from behind the huntress and she jumped at the two large male wolves approaching her. The females walked up to the large beasts and howled in unison.

Lynn felt that this was it, with all of these wolves against her. She turned to run, but instead ran into what felt like a brick wall. There was the final wolf to form the deadly group. The girl fell to the ground and stared up into the last wild creature in front of her.

From the looks of it, Kenya was dead again, and Lynn was next. But that's when a brown blur knocked the teenager over. Lynn noticed the blur's coat.

Kenya.

The wolf bit the boy and then turned around to address the rest of the group. The lycan growled at all four of the remaining wolves while approaching Lynn and stepping in front of her, as if she was her shield. The male wolves began to circle around the lycan and human as if they were sharks waiting to strike their meal. Kenya growled and snapped her teeth when either males got too close. Lynn stood on her legs and noticed her guns were thrown over near the her first hiding spot. She knew there was no way for her to get over there with all of these wolves standing around. That was when shots rang out and Mack came out running and aiming his guns.

The two teenage she wolves launched themselves out of the shooting range and Kenya took this chance to spring into the side of one of the males and bite the center of his body, causing him to whimper in pain. As for Lynn, she took this moment to run for the guns.

The final wolf didn't care about the crazy hunter shooting at him, but instead focused on the huntress sliding for the gun. The boy took off and went to pin Lynn to the ground, but luckily Kenya was fast enough to jump on him. Even though she blocked one deadly attack, the wolf under her wasn't giving up so easily. The wolf clawed at the lycan's face and pushed her off. Kenya instantly rolled over and got back in a fighting position. The younger wolf growled before pouncing and baring his teeth. The new beta attempted to move but she wasn't fast enough and the boy wolf latched onto her shoulder with his jaw.

Kenya growled while trying to shake him off, but he was holding on tightly, trying to force the lycan to submit. It wasn't until another shot from behind the two sparring wolves rang out that the male wolf released and dropped to the side of Kenya.

The she wolf turned around to see blood flowing from the wolf's leg and he whined at the pain he was experiencing. She glanced up at the huntress pointing the gun and saw an killer instinct coming on for Lynn. She was going to kill this young boy.

The shifted she wolf stood over the whimpering child as if she were protecting it, even though it just tried to kill her. Lynn could tell that this was Kenya's way of saying that the fight was over, that there was no need to kill a child. The huntress lowered her weapon and went to see about Mack.

The old shopkeeper was howling with joy as he managed to knock out and tie up both girls successfully. "God, I almost forgot how fun this was," He exclaimed while slapping his knee, then looking into his barrels and seeing that he didn't have anymore rounds.

Lynn turned around to see the lycan struggling to put the boy on her back, so she could get him medical attention. This was another new sight for Lynn, the caring side she never really saw in Kenya. From what she knew about the she wolf, she would have killed these kids without a second thought, but now things were different. Lynn was about to go over and help Kenya when Mack called out to the huntress, telling her she needed to do something.

The human girl jogged over and saw Mack leaning down and removing hair from one of the passed out she wolves necks. There were old pagan symbols burned on her skin. "I think yer demon problem in New Orleans is spreading, fast."
