A booming knock sounded on Kenya's door. The she wolf grumbled and tried turning over and going back to sleep, but another vicious round of knocking woke her up. She had just fallen asleep. Regardless, she stood and lazily walked over to the door and ripped it open. Lynn was standing on the other side of the door with aviators on her face and two cups of coffee in her hands.

She brushed past the groggy wolf. "Good to see that you're awake."

"But I'm actually not," Kenya mentioned while rubbing her eyes.

"Too bad, we need to go anyways. Mack's should be opening up soon, so get dressed and drink this." She shoved a hot cup of coffee at the lycan and she reluctantly took the cup. Kenya lifted an eyebrow, then sniffed the beverage, just in case the hunter planned on poisoning her.

"Only thing in there is coffee and sugar, just like you like it," Lynn assured her, "Oh, and no creamer because I know you hate it." Kenya furrowed her eyebrows, wondering how the girl knew this specific detail about her, but didn't question it for too long because of the beautiful aroma of caffeine.

Kenya sipped the liquid in the cup and felt the caffeine move through her with ease. She looked up. "Give me ten minutes and I'll be ready." Lynn nodded while sitting in a chair next to the table. Kenya disappeared into the bathroom, starting the shower and leaving a nosy hunter all alone with the wolf's personal items.

Lynn tapped on the table while she waited impatiently. That's when Kenya's phone vibrated from somewhere in the disheveled room. The brunette stood and searched around for the buzzing gadget, tossing around jackets and shirts and brushing shoes aside, opening drawers with few clothes.

The elongated quest for the device reminded the huntress of Kenya's unchanged and old habits, how messy she could become under stress, how Kenya's chaotic life was reflected her living space, but it just reminded Lynn that this was how Kenya was and it worked for her.

Lynn discovered the mobile on the floor beneath Kenya's unmade bed, and the girl reached beneath the mattress, grabbing the smartphone. By the time she grabbed the cellphone, it stopped vibrating, but the screen was still on. The hunter was shocked to see an image of a dark man cuddled up to Kenya and the she wolf smiling into the camera as if everything she could ever want was with that man sitting next to her. There was a pang of jealousy and hurt while staring at the single photograph, but the screen went dark and the shower turned off. Kenya cracked open the door and allowed the steam to flow out of it.

Lynn placed the cellular phone down on the nightstand for the she wolf, knowing Kenya would soon storm through, looking for it. She then tried making sure everything was back in its original place, and then moved around to the table and down once again.

Waiting... Waiting... Ugh, when will this woman be ready?

Lynn looked through the door once again to see Kenya toweling off and to see a few familiar as well as a few new tattoos across her back. Kenya turned around and Lynn had to force herself to look down, stop eyeing the wolf in the mirror. But how could she take her eyes off her?

The huntress sprung from her chair and grabbed her cup off the table, practically running outside without alerting the lycan changing. The air was breathable out in the open away from Kenya, her tattoos, her habits, and her coffee. Look at what she did! Look at what Kenya did to her. She blurred all the lines Lynn made years ago after Kenya, and Lynn was fairly sure Kenya had no idea she was doing it.

The girl just sat on the steps looking into the Texas dawn and sipping her hot beverage, working to forget the she wolf just inside. She hummed a calming tune and just enjoyed the morning breeze and the soothing, warming, but not scorching, sun kissing her skin. She ran her hand through her long brown hair and allowed it to cascade her skin. Then all of a sudden, the door to Kenya's room clicked open to reveal a still grumpy and tired Kenya, but now she was fully clothed, and ready for the day. Kenya had her keys and, of course, her coffee in her hand. She brushed past the huntress, touching her skin by accident. Thankfully there was no flashback, no memory of the year they spent together so long ago.

Kenya matched Lynn, flashing black like the badasses they were. Lynn couldn't help but smirk while noticing Kenya's walk. The way her hips swayed with every powerful stride was poetry, it was an art Kenya mastered. Lynn stood, following after the wolf.

"We can take my-" It was too late and Kenya was not in the mood. The she wolf opened her Camero and climbed in, starting it, but not moving because she was waiting for the pesky child to get a clue and get the hell in. "Or not." Lynn ran around and got in, putting on her seatbelt before the lycan controlling the vehicle sped off.

Kenya rode along the streets silently. Lynn knew that she wasn't an early riser, so it was expected of her to be a bit irritated and quiet. "Where am I going?" Kenya asked while searching around for her sunglasses angrily, and Lynn glanced at the shades tucked behind the mirror above the wolf.

God, she still can't keep track of anything.

It took Kenya a few seconds but she eventually located her glasses, while Lynn directed her along the streets of Archer City, and Kenya placed the eye protectors on. Eventually, the two arrived at a place called, "Mack's Parts Shop", Kenya pulled in and lowered the Ray Bans on her nose. "And what supplies could you possibly find in this dump?" The wolf turned off the vehicle and slowly climbed out, looking around at the crap thrown around the yard - the piles upon piles upon piles of senseless pieces of metal, pipes, and car engines that had formed into a mountain, accompanied by seats ripped out from cars and thrown around the yard.

"Mack's been with the hunter's for many years. He has the exact supplies we need to take down the demon." Kenya was too stunned with the surrounding area to comprehend what the girl before her was saying. Lynn walked around and looked Kenya straight in the eyes. "Stay out here and don't touch anything."

"Yes, mother dear," The she wolf replied while going to walk around the yard, ending up stomping like she was furious. Lynn strutted inside the shack and met a man in a baseball cap with the words "I Have the Right to Bare Arms" printed on his cap.

"Hey Mack," The girl greeted, smiling, the owner of the shop walked around his counter and gave the girl a hug.

"Lynn! Long time no see. How are you holding up?" He wondered while releasing her.

"I'm alright," She admitted, something that Mack hadn't heard in a while. He didn't dare question why she was in a good enough mood.

"What brings you here, hun?"

"There's a demon running wild in New Orleans." Mack didn't need anymore information concerning Lynn. He knew what - better yet who - was in Louisiana, but he let the girl continue on. "One of 'em came up here asking for my help." That was strike two for the shop owner.
