Jess's P.O.V

Is it really called seeing if your eyes are closed?

When your eyes are closed, do you see darkness?

Or is the darkness everything?

If you call it seeing, then I see darkness.

If you have another way to put it, it's that too.

I don't feel anything either.

I'm I dead?

If I can think then clearly not.

I'll be so embarrassed when I wake up.

If I wake up.

Why wouldn't I?

Why would I?

I am clearly alive.

Ever heard of a coma? Cardiac arrest? All thoes fancy medical terms meaning that I might not wake up? Who cares if I'm alive, what matter is if I'll wake up from the sleep that surrounds me.

Sleep.

Jess was once again in a hospital bed, crital condition. When Jess landed, she had rotated, landing on her legs instead of her head like she had planned. She landed in the fountain outside the hospital, which was very deep. That was the only way she somehow managed to survive.

Even so, it was a miracle. Normally, she would've died. What actually kept her alive was unknown.

The splash of the fountain was what made them realize, and the tons of people on the streets who saw her jump. The police had been called, which was unnecessary, knowing the hospital was right there.

She is now under constant survalence, if the smallest thing went wrong, she could, and most likely would, die.

She shattered her legs, but the watter helped the impact. She would eventually walk again, if everything goes correctly in the procedure.

She dislocated her left shoulder, and fractured many fingers and toes. She has a few broken rib, a bruised skull, and has fallen in a coma. It is unsure if she will wake up or not.

No one has come to visit her, other than doctors, that is.

It's been 2 weeks since she jumped. That's long enough for someone with a bullet wound to be released.

While Jess lay in a hospital bed, Lion had already been released. He trudged home, dragging his feet on the sidewalk as he walked towards his home. Or at least, he thinks it's leads towards his home.

He had no idea where Kitten or Tiger was, but he was determined to find both if them, and put their family back together.

As he continued to walk, he eventually made it to a somewhat familiar area. He did his best to navigate around the town. Lion had no money to buy any food, so he did his best to walk fast so he could get home sooner.

He finally made it onto his street when he tripped and fell. He had been dragging his feet more as he progressed, which caused him to fall. He cursed under his breath as he got back to his feet, shakily.

He continued to walk down the empty street, making it all the way home. The whole trip took him a good 3 hours. He knocked on the door, hoping Tiger was home since he didn't have a key.

He prayed Tiger was home safe with Kitten. Kitten was their most prized possession. What was once a stray had been made a pet. She will one day be great like her mother, Tiger.

Yet she will always be their little Kitten.

After knocking several times, Lion slumped down on the porch, back against the door. He knew by this point no one was home. But he couldn't help but wonder where Tiger and Kitten were. Surly Tiger would've protected Kitten, even though Kitten was the reason they were split apart.

No.

He thought.

It was my fault, she wasn't ready to fight her own battle, she's still a little kitten, it's my fault.

He stood up, now frustrated with himself and walked away from the house. He wasn't sure where he was going, he just needed to try and detract his thoughts.

He kept an eye out for his family, but never found them. He made his way into town, passing by various shops. One particular shop had telivisions in the window, playing the news. He continued to walk by, but the story they were talking about intrigued Lion the listen in.

They were talking about what had happened at Kittens old house.

Pathetic parents. They should love their kid no matter what. It shouldn't matter if you get in a fight or not, they should always feel welcomed home.

What many people didn't know, was that Lion had been watching Kitten grow up her whole life. From the day she was born, Lion watched from afar, knowing she would be his one day.

He knew more about her than anyone else. He read her journal while she was away.

One reason not mentioned that had put Kittens step mother on edge was that Kitten had been accused of doing and dealing drugs- which wasn't the case.

After the fight, she just completely blew up.

Lion was their to 'save' Kitten, without her knowing his intentions.

Lion arrived at a train station in town. He easily snuck inside and before he Knew it, he was taking a train to who knows where. He just needed to get out of that town. Perhaps that state.

He felt bad for leaving Tiger and Kitten behind somewhere, but he was confident they would manage until he returned. They were both strong.

When he was to return, he will do whatever is nessisary to find his family, no matter the cost.

He would find Kitten, then Tiger, thinking Kitten would be a little more lost without him, that is, if they aren't together.

Lion lays back in his seat, trying to relax and push all the thoughts out of his head. He will find them, he will do whatever it takes.

Whatever it takes.
