My eyes flew open with a sudden burst of energy that I knew could only come from water... and maybe some other things (aka other elements from his Olympic blessing for those who don't understand). I took in my surrounding quickly, thanks to my war habits. I was in the lake, Gizar still resting in my pocket (knowing I had the situation under control), with the other kids and Hagrid drowning around me because their robes were pulling them down, and Hagrid was just too heavy. No offense to him, but he is part giant. A giant squid was at the bottom of the lake, sleeping. But with all of the racket the kids are making in the water. He'll be awake soon, I needed to act fast. I could hear Harry frantically trying to catch my attention, but I pushed it to the back of my mind. I took a huge breath of...... water? Whatever, and concentrated. I felt the tug in my gut, just like every time I use my powers, except this time it was a lot bigger. I knew it was only because of the massive amount of water I was going to control. I made at least a hundred air bubbles around each student, and swam over to Hagrid. I kept concentrating on keeping the bubbles intact at this depth, and filled with oxygen, while I grabbed Hagrid. Careful to make as little ripples as possible, I tugged a barely conscious half-giant up to the surface. As soon as we hit the surface, Hagrid seemed to regain his composure, because he started to struggle. "Get off me yer crazy merfolk!" I chuckled at the information of metfolk existing, but soon Hagrid's struggling got annoying. "Hagrid! It's me, Percy! Stop struggling!" Finally, he stopped moving and I used the water to surge him out and into one of the canoes that managed to stay righted in the chaos of whatever just happened. I then swam back to the depths and saw most of the kids were crying or trying to cast accidental magic, since they had no idea on how to cast an actual spell. I sighed, and then made the bubbles all slowly rise to the surface. Even with the extra blessings of Olympus, I was starting to tremble. With more practice I knew I could expand my limit, as such with any skill, but right now, I was reaching it. A lot of the kids were now calming themselves down and straightening their clothes, while some were unconscious. I gently pushed the upturned canoes into the correct position and lifted the kids into them, making sure to put the unconscious ones with at least two capable wizards/witches. Sweating and adrenaline pumping, I checked to make sure that all of the kids were safe and that the squid was still asleep, but when I turned around, I was met with the sight of a huge eye. I swam backwards and shook off my shock. The squid was awake, but it didn't look hostile. Who are you? I heard a voice join Harry's blubbering. Oh Percy, where are you!? Are you ok?! What happened?! I'm freaking out! Why won't you respond?! Percy, respond! I- One second Harry, I'm ok. Talk to you in a second, a squid wants to speak to me. I looked towards the squid, calculating escape routes in case this encounter went south. Harry was trying to gain my attention again, but I ignored it. Who are you, Squidy? The squid's eye narrowed as it looked at me. My name is Jorkan, the great giant squid of this lake. Who are you? You are no merman. I chuckled. Yes, you are correct. I am a son of Poseidon, not a merman. The eye widened as Jorkan backed up slightly. Then he bared his mouth at me. You lie. I would be able to tell from the aura of your being. What trickery is this? I shake my head, a small smile. No trickery. I am Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon. I unsheathed my aura and suddenly I could feel people swimming in from all directions. Presuming it to be monsters, I quickly uncapped Riptide, recovered my aura, and 'relaxed' in the water (I was actually as stiff as a board, ready to react to anything, but I had figured out how to hide such things in the wars). Vigilant as ever in the watery depths. Jorkan, either noticing my tense state or sensing the people (I had no idea) circled his tentacles around me, but as to where I could get out rather easily. I heard the ancient squid's voice echo in my ears as he spoke to the merfolk. 'Why do you protect the human? Surely you know it will die anyway. With this depth, it will never reach the surface before it is dead just as the kelp will never see the sun.' I shuddered a bit at their callousness, but understood it. 'Possibly, but this is no human. This is our lord's son.' I heard more than saw their disbelief. 'Impossible. There is no way that one of the Lord's sons could have gotten here, much less be unable to be sensed.' Jorkan squeezed me a little tighter. 'Nay. There is no such thing as impossible in the world of the divine. He is an undefeatable, just listen to the sound of the waves, how they respond to him being in the water, surrounded by his own element.' There was a moment of still silence while I held my breath, wondering what Jorkan was playing at.
Harry's POV
I looked at Hermione while internally screaming at Perce. I can't believe he just shut me out. I was trying to use my imaginary hands to claw around the wall he built, but it was phenomenal, I don't even know how the greek gods can find a way in....... wait. They still find a way in, even though Percy has no holes or cracks. Let's see, what's that rhyme Hermione always talked about? Um..... oh! Well, I can't go around it. I can't go under it or over it. I can't go through it..... but if I use enough power I can! Completely ignoring whatever Ron could be saying to me, I imagined Percy's wall around our connection. I made a cost of energy, and then propelled it through Percy's blockade. I was met with resistance the whole way through, but Perce must have been distracted because it wasn't as hard as it looked. Harry! What happened?! What'd you do?! Percy! I w- Harry? Harry, answer me! Harry please! What happened? Why are you...... gone? Please respond! Percy! I'm right here! Everything is fine. Harry?! No! Please! No....... I didn't know what to do. Percy couldn't hear me? What did I do?
