Ron's POV

How dare he ask me what I want? "Do you even know who I am?" Perseus scoffed again and looked me right in the eyes, his glare cold as a winters' night and frosty as the windows at dawn. "A spoiled brat too high on popularity to realize that his friend is hurting." I looked at him in shock and anger. "Who do you think you are, liar. I bet you're just an ugly, fat, pimply death eater trying to kill Harry for getting rid of your master." I smirked at him, but he just laughed. "Who would want to eat Thanatos? But anyway, this is how I naturally look. Is that how you naturally look?" I blanched. "Of course it is! My ginger hair is a trait that my family is well known for." I puffed out my chest in pride. We are one of the eldest wizard families there are. Perseus snickered and I sneered. "Well? I do not believe you actually hold such scars, and if so, it was probably from so many careless actions of yours. You probably fell on glass or something else stupid." Perseus' eyes darkened and he pointed at his chest, where a large still-red scar drove all the way down to beneath his pants line. "Do you think this was from something stupid, Ronald?" I eyed it and then shook my head. There's no way he could have gotten it from anything honorable. "You were probably hit from a sharp falling object when you knocked over a shelf." Perseus' glare worsened and I started to sweat a little. He looked like an angered wolf about to eat me up. I shook my head, psyching myself up. I have magic, no one can take that away from me. A little voice in the back of my head nagged at me that he had magic too, but I shut it down. I have experience in the battle field, he doesn't. "Do I really look like a fool?" I mockingly ran my eyes up and down his image and looked him right in the eyes afterwards. "Yes." He rolled his eyes and I smirked. He's going to give in now. "Well, whatever helps you sleep at night. I'm not going to keep talking to someone who can't get over his own arrogance to talk to a fellow student. Good night." I watched, shocked, as Perseus laid down on his bed and pulled the covers over his shoulders, his back facing to me. I glared at his back while I got ready for bed, not giving him an ounce of trust. I laid down and thought about my poor friend, before drifting to sleep.

I woke up to whimpering, and I quickly looked to Harry's bed, only to see him sleeping with a troubled look on his face, but he wasn't whimpering. I heard a sharp exhale of breath as I looked over to see Perseus twitching on the bed. A large, spiky, golden cat was prowling around Perseus' bed and silently clawing at the ground. It was licking Perseus' face and nuzzling his hand, and a gold liquid was staining the white sheets, but it was coming from everywhere, not just one part of his bed. His face was twisted in agony and I was terrified of him, not for him. Who bleeds gold blood? There was no way that was urine, and as proof there was a few scratches on his face bleeding the color. I quickly moved to wake up the other boys, but I didn't want to wake up Harry, something about his face made me hesitate. When I woke up all the other boys, we ran out because of the dangerous animal prowling the room. We raced down the halls to the Headmistress's office and behind banging on the wall next to the griffin while shouting for Headmistress McGonagall. After a while, the Headmistress came down and asked us what all the ruckus was about. "It's Perseus, Headmistress. He is drenched in gold blood and there is a spiky large cat hybrid prowling in our room!" The Headmistress looked worried and quickly scanned the boys, counting. "Where is Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley?" I looked down, feeling guilty. "He's still in the room with Perseus, both of them are asleep." The Headmistress shot us all disapproving glares and started jogging down the halls. She was casting spells and muttering words that I could not catch as she rushed towards the Gryffindor boys' dorms. When she reached their room, a terrible smell was coming from the door. "A noxious gas...... it must be a nundu." She cast another spell and called for Hagrid. Once both Hagrid and Professor Flitwick arrived, they slowly opened the door. The Headmistress looked inside the room and then glared at me. "Is this one of your jokes, Mr. Weasley? I do not take kind to your elder brother's games." I looked at the Headmistress quizzically. "What do you mean?" Headmistress McGonagall opened the door fully and I looked inside, only to see Perseus and Harry both sleeping with a golden kitten sprawled out on Perseus' chest. I blushed and looked down in shame. I looked up once more and glared at Perseus. He must have changed something. I know what I saw. I turned to look at the rest of the boys, and they all looked as confused as I felt. "I'm sorry Headmistress. This is not what we left our room in, but we apologize for the inconvenience." Headmistress McGonagall gave us a disapproving glare and sighed. "Ten points from Gryffindor for each boy involved." I quickly counted and there were four of us. I inwardly cursed and slunk back inside our room, to go to sleep. I glared at Perseus' sleeping form as the Headmistress, Professor Flitwick, and Hagrid closed our door. I walked over to Perseus and went to kick his side, but he blocked and twisted my foot. I squeaked and landed on the floor, most painfully. I stood up and glared at him again, only to see him still in a troubled sleep. I grew confused but shrugged it off. I looked at the other boys and they just shrugged their shoulders as well. We all got back into our beds and slowly started to drift off to sleep, one by one.
