along the way, Jaehyun sat all the way to the back of the bus and closed his eyes with his earpieces plugged in. no one came to disturb him thank God, or else he would have been really irritated by then.

the thoughts of his hyungs flashed through his mind and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Jaehyun hated being bothered by these 'small things' that once 'disturbed' a huge part of his life. he wasnt the type to sit back and go through them so thoroughly. he would throw them away the moment they haunted his mind.

as the bus stopped near the side curb, Jaehyun got off and slung the bag sling over his other shoulder. he walked quickly to the apartment he bought (literally, i mean rich kid duh!) and kicked off his shoes the moment he got in. he set aside his bag and immediately got into the shower.

stripping himself (hMMMM) of his uniform, he turned on the hot water and scrubbed himself clean. however, a sharp pain shot through his side and he winced. Jaehyun looked down to his right and remembered the punch that not only burst the vessel on the inside, but also caused the whole area to swell. how torturous and burdensome his whole life was for the paat 16 years.

now living on his own meant a lot of responsibilities. but of course, it was Jung Jaehyun, and no you cant say unnecessary remarks about him just by looking at his grades and his lifestyle. he lived by himself all these years, picking up life skills he needed if he were to have his own apartment.

and he was. where he wanted to be after so long. a few days living in the huge and spacious 5-room apartment was more than satisfaction for Jaehyun.

it was paradise, a haven in his eyes. no idiots to bully and kick him around, no irritating ahjummas and ahjussis to scream their heads off while bickering, no Grandpa to always keep on doting on him and giving him the attention he's sick of.

Jaehyun liked the idea of independence, and he truly believed that everyone has his own rights that no one else should interfere in. what a strong boy he was...

Thursdays were late start days for the students at Jaehyun's school. the unexpected thing is that lessons only start at 10am! and no such other school would be that generous to let students sleep in knowing that they needed energy for the last school day of the week.

as usual, both Jaehyun and Doyoung headed to school. Sungmin and Donghae tried many means and ways to avoid the two boys in the hallways, but to no avail could they get rid of seeing their once-dongsaeng/maknae everywhere they went.

yes, Jaehyun had purposely decided to run into them every time so that they feel the torture he suffered when they gave him the worse-than-cold-shoulder feeling. he enjoyed seeing them turn away their eyes into the opposite direction whenever they passed each other.

meanwhile, Doyoung was still secluding himself from his family, except for his Gong Myung hyung of course. lately, they both have been talking about school and the problems they faced and Gong Myung's career although he was only 19.

Gong Myung was put into a band with four other boys the previous year, and he had been travelling back and forth between Seoul and in the town where Doyoung's family used to stay. that was another reason for moving to Seoul permanently so that Gong Myung wouldnt have to take long train rides home and always come back very late into the night every time.

with such a caring and fun hyung, Doyoung came to school feeling a little bit more cheerful than usual. as the first two lessons rolled in before lunch at exactly noon, Donghae had been eyeing Doyoung from the corner of the classroom where he sat. he noticed how fast the latter adapted himself to the school life and compound, and the number of friends he got. it pissed Donghae off on the inside because he was aware he once used to be that kind of caring and bright person, but with Sungmin around and always tailing him, it was hard. how Donghae always wished he could turn things around and put them back into their original places...

as lunch finally came, Taeyong, Ten and Doyoung all headed down to the cafeteria, and surprisingly bumped into Jaehyun and his little gang.

" oh! annyeong Doyoung hyungie~ " Jaehyun greeted as he bowed. Doyoung giggled and ruffled his hair.

" yah no need to be so formal! are these your chingus? " he asked. Taeyong and Ten were both behind the boy, admiring how adorable Jaehyun's friends were.

there was obviously the talkative and adventurous Lee Haechan who actually grabbed the attention of every girl after the Jung brothers, while Lee Jeno was ths handsome and quiet one who always topped the cohort and amazed everyone because they all thought him to be one of those nerds at first. of course, Winwin being the foreigner that he was from China, took everyone by surprise when he managed to ace all the subjects despite learning Korean in a short time. his quick grasp of Hangul and the language stood out from the rest, so it was really an achievement every other non-Korean student tried to do (but failed miserably so to say).

the three kids stood behind Jaehyun, their heads down and trying not to seem rude to the two hyungs. Taeyong and Ten walked over and greeted themselves. the dongsaengs' eyes immediately lit up knowing that two new friendly hyungs wouldnt hurt them if they talked.

thats how good sunbae-hoobae relationships were formed at this school.
