Chapter 20: Making My Promises

She was already asleep, she was so close that I could feel her heart beating. She was still cold, so I put my arms around her. This was not easy for me, I actually didn't know what to do. I was getting warmer too, I can tell why she fell asleep so fast then. So this is the why. She's so stupid to take care of herself, that's why I'm doing it. Her hair was covering her face, and I wanted to see her, so I slowly, very slowly, tried to removed it from her face behind her ear. When I did it, she pushed herself closer to me, her face was laying on my chest. She was very asleep by then. I didn't know where I should put my hands, so I just slowly placed them on her back, on the blanket, so she could feel warmer. I had a smile stuck on my face that didn't want to erase. Her wounds were disappearing and her skin tone was coming back. She looked so beautiful, but she really needs to be careful and take care of herself when I'm not around. But as I promised to her, I have to be the first one right next to her when she opens her eyes.
I couldn't even stop thinking about that family. I've never been assigned to kill a whole family before, this would be my first time. The reason why they want me to kill them, is because they're working in a spot without paying the whole rent, because they have no money. The owner of that spot wants us to take care of that, in other words, they want me to kill them all. They live near here, so that won't be a problem. I was supposed to kill them tomorrow's night. I wasn't that ready, but that always happens to me. Always.

Min Ho... "I heard a beautiful voice" Min Ho? Are you...awake?
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Keyla's face next to mine, I was hugging her around my arms, without letting her to move. I fast opened my eyes wide opened and got up from the bed.
Mianhe. "I said scratching my hair" Did you sleep well? Did you catch a cold?
Ne, I slept well. Gomawo. I was warmer all night. "She said getting up from bed and heading to the bathroom"
I got dressed and prepared her the same breakfast. She got ready too and started to eat, there was. Silence between us, I was looking at her, when she noticed I looked to another direction. When I was about to talk, someone came in.
Keylana? It's Yoly. "Yoly said coming inside and heading to us"
Can't you knock first? "I asked and she got scared"
Yoly...it's been...so long. "Keyla said looking down"
Yeah, three months are too long. "She said crossing her arms" Look at you. "She chuckled" You look pathetic. Does he violates you at night? "She asked and Keyla fast opened her eyes wide opened with tears"
I cleaned my mouth with a tissue and got up from the table. I head to that girl, she was very small, and looking down really was hurting my neck.
Say what you said, one more time, and you'll be dead in less than 3 seconds. "I whispered" Get out. "I said sitting again in the table trying to finish my breakfast"
"She gasped" Yah Keylana, you forgot about Chanyeol Oppa? He's doing so good these days, who knows. Maybe I can persuade him to use me like a doll for singles too. "She said chuckling"
Yolyha...jebal..."Keyla said tearing up"
This time I got up and grabbed her wrist and pushed her out from the room. I hate those kind of girls so much. I heard Keyla sniffing, I looked at her and then looked down with a sigh. I head to her and kneeled down in front of her. I cleaned her tears and she looked at me.
I'm sorry...you had to hear that... "She said looking down"
Don't worry about that. Her words didn't offend me. "I said getting up"
I'll go to sleep... "She said sniffing and laying on the bed"
When she layed on my bed without facing me, I knew she was covering her mouth so I won't be able to listen to her crying. I sighed and sat on the corner of the bed, placing my hand on her back. That's the only thing I could do for her, I guess. She sniffed, sat down and hugged me. My eyes were wide opened, her hug was so powerful. I just placed my hands on her back and hugged her back. Her face was against my chest, I slowly started patting her hair. She really wanted to get out of here. I wish I could take her out, but I couldn't.
Yah....um.... "I said breaking the hug" I have to leave, don't wait for me, arraseo? "I said looking down"

I slowly pushed her hands away, and looked down. I got up from the bed and leaved the room. I layed my back on the door, as I was looking down.

I didn't replied. I just kept walking.
Why are you like that? "She asked holding my hand and placing her mouth near my neck, whispering" Remember that, I'm paying you for your service. Don't you want to be paid? "She asked"
I chuckled and pushed her away. That was so disgusting. I was walking around the living room to pick up some guns and my special mask I always use so no one would recognize me.
Are you going to do it? "The boss asked crossing his arms"
What other choice do I have? "I asked as I was puutting a gun in my backpack"
Remember what happened to your sister. We beat you up because you didn't realized your mission. Hope that doesn't happen again. "He said crossing his arms"
I looked at him, I really wanted him to pay for what he did to my sister. He killed her in front of my eyes. I sighed and got out from the house.

I waited 7 hours until the darkness arrived. I was analizing the place, the atmosphere before I start. I put my mask on and started heading to the backyard of the house. There were security everywhere. I was dressed in black so they didn't see me. My gun also had a silent sound than no one could hear to. All the family was in the living room, eating pork belly with lettuce, while a security guard was looking at them. I took a big breath and came inside the living room, I shot to the security guard, the kids started to hug their mother and the old man stood in front of his family.
Who are you? What you want?! "The old Ahjussi asked" Leave my family alone!
I point the gun to the Ahjussi and could see his grandkids looking at me. That little girl was looking directly into my eyes. I was shaking.
Park Min Suk. "I said to call his attention" You...have a beautiful family... "I said putting down my gun"
He looked at me confused, and smiled with a nod at me. I bowed and got out from the house, running of course.
When I arrived to the house and placed all my equipment in the living room, the boss head at me , and also the other guys, they all grabbed me and he hit my face with his strong fist.
What did you just do?! "He yelled" I awarded you! Didn't I?! "He said hitting my stomach"
I didn't scream, because I was used to it. I just closed my eyes trying to support the pain.

She was cleaning the bed, when she saw them, she got scared. But when she noticed they were holding me with force she ran to me worried, but the boss hold me and the guys grabbed her.
Min Ho! "She shouted" Don't! Jebal! "She shouted"
Hold her tight! "The boss said" Yah, listen carefully. "He said to Keyla" This is what happens when you don't follow orders. "He said pointing at me with a metal pipe"
She looked at me scared, trying to get herself free. He started hitting me with it, and also with his fist. I tried to push him away, but that just could get stuff worse for us. I was letting him to beat me up, it did hurt. I collapsed on the floor.
Let her guys. Get out. "He said and they got out from the room"
Keyla ran fast to me, shaking my body.
Yah, Min Ho. Min Ho! Jebal! "She said crying" Yah you bastard! Open your eyes!
I was already awake, but she didn't notice. I was enjoying how she cared for me. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at her.
Oh? Yah! Bastard! "She yelled" Were you pretending?! "She asked trying to calm down"
I smiled and tried to sit on the floor.

"She sniffed and hugged me" I thought you were dead. "She whispered while sniffing"

N...ne... "She said turning around without facing me" I'm glad you didn't do it. "She said looking down"
I chuckled and got in the bathroom. When I came out, she was sitting in the table, thinking. She turned around to face me. I didn't have a shirt on.
Omo! Yah! Put something on. "She said ashamed"
Wae? Too much abbs and muscles for your virgin mind? "I asked putting a shirt on and sitting across her"

I chuckled and took a sip of my water bottle. I wanted to scare her a bit, so I walked closer to her and low my face closer to hers, looking directly at her beautiful eyes. She was in shock. I smiled and chuckled.
You're wierd. "I whispered" Aren't you scared? Nervous? Ashamed? "I asked and she looked down" That's what I thought. "I said preparing some boild water to eat ramen"
Are we going to eat ramen today? For dinner? "She asked surprised and I nod"
She got up from the table and head to me with a smile.
Should I help you? "She asked taking green onions and a knive"
Can't wait to see when you get cut by yourself. "I whispered as I was placing the noodle in the water"
Yah, I'm a good cooker. "She said cutting them" I even Ah! "She said in a loud voice" Aish...
I chuckled and placed a towel on her finger, so dumb to cut a simple green onion. She sat down and I made them. When they were ready, we started eating them, they were so delicious.
Mmm. It's so delicious. "She said smiling to herself"
I chuckled and kept eating. After some minutes that we were done, I was cleaning the dishes, while she was just looking. I could hear her sighing, I knew she was thinking something important.
"I stopped cleaning and sighed" Spill it out. What is it? "I kept cleaning"
How long...do you think I'll stay here? More than three months had passed fast. "She asked thoughtful"
I stopped cleaning the dishes and looked down.
Wae? Want to leave already? "I asked"
Aniyo...I was just thinking about it. "She mumbled"
She stood up from the table and head to me. She was looking at how I was washing the diches, with a smile. I wasn't concentrating.
Yah, Keylana.... "I said looking at her"

I took off the special gloves I used to do the dishes and lay on the counter, she stood in front of me, waiting for my question.
If I tell you...I can take you out of here, what would you say? "I asked crossing my arms"

I looked at her eyes like for 3 minutes. I stepped closer to her, not letting any space between us. She was looking down all time. She stepped back, still looking down, but I just walked closer again, looking down at her.
Wae? Scares you being like this? "I asked and she looked up at me"

I fast placed my hands on her cheeks and placed my lips on hers.
