"Hey everybody!" I mumbled once me and Diana had stepped inside the studio, noticing that we were the last one there.
I prayed that everything would go well with them seeing my lady, and that she hadn't caught onto any weird rumors yet. I knew my team would be nice though, because they know how to behave around me and my girls. Plus, some of the people in here knew about Diana and our past. Something Diana herself was yet to find out about, therefor I trusted these people with keeping everything on the low. They obviously all knew that already.
"Hello! You must be Diana?" Scooter smiled widely, almost a bit too welcoming, as he opened his arms to hug her.
Diana hesitated, only because I noticed how uncomfortable she looked. She didn't know these people like I did and I didn't blame her for being so quiet. She wasn't relaxed around them. I could guess it was because they all knew where we came from - and adults loved to criticize and judge kids who went to the paradise. It almost made me sick how judging adults could be but she should know that these adults are on my side. Therefor they wouldn't be rude to her or act strange around her. They all want to welcome her just like any other person would to a stranger. Hopefully it's not going to take long until she realized that.
It took Diana a good ten minutes to walk around and meet everyone. When I said that my team could meet up in the studio, I didn't mean my entire team. Scooter must have misunderstood me, because almost every single one of the people in my team was here. They all seemed overly happy to see Diana too. Maybe that's why everyone was here, because I was bringing a girl here.
"It's so nice to meet you, finally," Scooter smiled but I gave him a death glare as to remind him that he's only known about Diana for a couple of days and he immediately corrected himself, "Well, for the day I've known about you, at least."
A little chuckle came out of multiple mouths but I realized Diana was smiling uncomfortably. I decided that it was time for the main ones to leave, immediately.
"It was so nice you all wanted to come and see us, and welcome us home and stuff but I am about to go to work. It'd be even more nice if you would want to leave us alone from now on," I tried to make the sentence the nicest possibly so no one would get offended. In reality, I wanted to yell at everyone to get out on the spot but I was supposed to act professionally and yelling didn't exactly meet the high standards for that word.
"Of course," some mumbled and walked to the exit. They knew better than to question me.
I noticed that Scooter stayed, for some reason, as well as Diana who sat down on a couch a bit further away from my producer and the mixer table.
I furrowed my eyebrows and went to sit beside her, "What's up baby? Why are you being so quiet?"
"I'm sorry," she mumbled, "It was a bit overwhelming to see that many people, and they were all asking questions I didn't know what to answer on."
"Questions?" I asked, confused over her feelings. I knew I shouldn't have had so many people in here at the same time but I didn't know she would feel uncomfortable with questions. "What kinda questions were they asking you?"
"Stuff about me." She shrugged, as if it was no big deal. "And I feel like most of my life is a secret, because I don't know as much as everybody else does with their lives. I don't know anything about my childhood, it's just a blank space."
