"These are absolutely gorgeous," I stared at the box full of rings that Rex that brought with him. It had taken him exactly twenty minutes before he stood, ringing my doorbell, outside my home. I laughed once he stepped in, asking all kinds of question of who the lucky lady was.

Rex owns my personal favourite jewellery store in the city and has been a long-time family friend. I met him the first time when my stylist brought me to him to get some interesting accessories for a red carpet, ever since he had been my number one go-to jewellery man. I think that's also one of the many reasons to why he's become so close to me. He always hooked me up with new incoming accessories like watches, bracelets and necklaces. He kept my style going.

I had never asked him about an engagement ring before, though. I had never seen him that happy or excited about something and I had received multiple questions about the wedding. When and where it would be held and if he was invited. I told him that of course, he was. I just had to make sure my lady said yes first.

I had even shown him a few photos I had of Diana on my phone. Some were a bit inappropriate since I usually take photos of her when I'm not supposed to but he laughed it off and said I got a nice woman for me. I already knew that so all I had done was agreeing and letting him know how lucky I felt for having her by my side.

What I didn't say was that she had asked for a break but I don't think anyone needed to know that. If I asked her to marry me I was certain she would not say no. It's like I've been able to read her mind because I'm so sure she had mentioned the word marriage once. Usually, I would think it's way too soon but for some reason, I don't. It's different this time. She's the one I want to be with and the only girl I could ever imagine myself having a future with.

I don't want to wake up beside anyone else except for her. Diana was my number one and I'm pretty sure I am hers too. She wouldn't tell me all those things otherwise. I could cut this break of ours short by asking her to marry me. Make her my fiancée. It would be perfect, I had already come up with an entire plan in my head. I knew how to do it and I knew what her perfect engagement would look like. I was going to fix that for her, with no doubts was I going to make this day the perfect day for her.

"What about this one?" I pointed at a silver ring that had one big diamond in the middle. It looked expensive and that was all I was looking for.

"That one is a perfect fit! It symbolises eternal love with a graceful design that forms a flowing and infinite motion. This feminine and delicate engagement ring is meticulously set with a solitaire diamond, a symbol of everlasting love." He gave me a happy look as he took it out of the box, giving it to me so I could hold it. It felt slightly heavy but I'm sure she wouldn't mind those diamonds. "It's featured with a white diamond pavé set in a platinum band, it's crafted to sit perfectly."

I stared at it, Diana would love this. "It's perfect, I'll take it."

"Are you sure?" He gave me a look and I knew this was about money, I had no idea how much it was and for some reason, it didn't hurt in my wallet when he said the prize, "It's three million dollars."

"I'll take it," I repeated, reminding myself that for Diana, I would pay whatever prize there was. If she wanted something, I would get it for her. It wasn't different with this, she hadn't necessarily told me she wanted an expensive engagement ring but I know that luxury things make her feel better and this would be the perfect thing for her to wear every day and feel like a princess. "Do you have a check block on you?"
