Good a$$ day
"Dad please!" I begged my dad.
"Tasha no! I just don't think that its a good idea."
"Dad come on thats not fair! You tell me to make friends but them don't allow me to hang out with them."
"You know nothing about California just yet!"
"I never will if you don't let me."
I was so annoyed. I wish my Mother could've moved with me to LA i stead if ny Dad she was more understanding but she had a husband, a job and three other kids & a grandchild back in Atlanta so she couldn't just up and move everybody.
Unlike my Dad who lived with my Grandmother, his job was under the table & all 7 of his children lived with their mothers. It was easier for him to up and leave.
"I'll let you go under one condition."
"Whats that?"
"I drop ya'll off and pick ya'll up."
I huffed. "Dad its a lot of is going. They're all taking the bus why can't I?"
"You're not end of discussion!"
I screamed and stomped to my room, I slammed my door and plopped on my bed.
Just as I did my screen light up indicating I had a text.
Julian: You coming?
As I was replying my dad walked in and sat on the edge of my bed.
"Look I'm sorry I've never raised a 15 year old alone, I'm just trying to protect you."
"I know that but you can't keep me hidden from everything trying to protect me."
He nodded. "I'll drop you off at the movies later, deal?"
I smiled. "Yeah sure."
He kissed my cheek & walked out.
I lifted my phone and responded to Julian's text.
Me: Yep my Dad is going to drop me off though.
Julian: K we going at 7
Me: Okay:) See ya
I laid my phone down and went to find an outfit.
Two hours later My dad pulled up to the movie theatre.
I walked in and immediately spotted them dancing in the corner.
"Do ya'll ever not jerk?" I walked up to them.
"Jerkin' is a habit." Said Day Day.
I rolled my eyes and sat next to Asia on a bench.
"This is Tasha, thats Valerie." She introduced me to a girl that had to be around 5'10.
"Hey." I smiled.
"Hi." She replied rather dry.
"Aye ya'll ain't no good movies playing." Spotlight was starring a the movie list.
"Lets get food then." They all agreed.
I was a little hesitate.
"Whats wrong?" Julian walked to me.
"Huh? Oh nothing." I smiled and started walking.
"Apple bee's around the corner." Ceejay started jerking.
I couldn't help but laugh. These nigga breath jerking.
"Cake ass niggas!" Corey screamed as he recorded Asia & Frank making out.
"Get a room!"
Just then Julian ran and jumped on my back and we fell.
Everyone started laughing.
"Julian you can't be doing that she only 2 foot 11." Ceejay helped me up.
"Chiilllll." I laughed so hard.
"Aye I got that shit my nigga." Corey was still recording.
"Aye Tasha you sitting by me ok?" Langston linked arms with me.
"I guess."
"Lang I'm sitting on the other side of you." Valerie chimed in.
"I like sitting on the end."
She rolled her eyes and walked up to Kaleah.
Finally we reached the restuarant and was seated.
"I'll be back I'm going to the bathroom." I headed to the bathroom to wash my hands and when I came out Val was in my seat.
I shrugged and sat in between Asia and Day Day.
"Aye Day Day lets switch spots."
"Alright my nigga." Day Day walked over to Langstons seat.
I could see Valerie roll her eyes.
We sat in applebee's two hours laughing and joking around.
Outside the restuarant the boys decided they wanted to record themselves jerking.
"Ouch my leg hurt." I started limping.
"Here get on my back." Langston squatted so I could get on.
"SNIPE!" Corey yell and took a picture.
"Come on ya'll lets walk Tasja back to the movies." Langston still had me on his back.
"You can walk her." Julian said.
"Walk her yo damn self." Val squinted.
Everybody got quiet.
"Come on ya'll let's just walk her." Ceejay started walking and everyone followed behind.
We walked in silence.
As soon a we approached the movies my dad pulled up.
"Alright bye Tash, see ya monday." Asia hugged me.
"Bye." I waved to everyone else and hopped in the passenager's seat.
"How was the movie?" My dad pulled into the street.n
"It was good."
"Don't lie."
"Alright it was boring." I smiled.
"I know you ain't go see no movie."
My smile faded. "Dad how do you know?"
"I never left I saw ya'll leave the movie where did ya'll go? And I saw that lite boy on your back. Who is he? you never said it was going to be boys."
"We went to get food."
"You expect me to believe that? You do 't need to be hanging around a bunch of boys."
"Dad there were girls too!" I screamed.
"Yeah you."
"Uhm actually there was 4 of us." I rolled my eyes.
He pulled into the parking lot of our apartment building.
"You can't hang with them anymore." He closed the car door and headed towards the building. I sat in the car stunned before finally getting out and going inside.
"YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHO I CAN AND CANT HANG OUT WITH!"
"I can, I will & I did. You need to focus on your education and your career boys later." He sat on the sofa.
"Uhm hello I'm focused on my career thats why we're out here now! And school is easy to me I'm not going to be a loser just to be succesful! My career is better than yours dad! The only reason we have this nice apartment is because of me! The reason you drive a nice car is because of me! So chillout!"
"Exactly! They are just trying to use you." My dad talked calm and knowingly.
"They're more famous then I am, they are the freaking rangers!"
My dad sat in silence for a while.
"Everytime I turn on the radio I hear the rangers." He looked shocked.
"Yepp." I rolled my eyes and headed towards my room.
