I pulled back.
"I'm sorry." He backed up.
I was shocked and at a lost for words.
"Why'd you do that?" I finally asked.
But before he could answer my food started ringing. I looked at the screen.
Jasmin! Oh great. I frowned. I was not in the mood to her so I clicked ignore.
"So why did you kiss me?" I asked again
"I like you, everytime I look at you I just get happy, when you smile, I smile." He looked down.
"Julian thats so sweet." I paused. "But I just don't see you like that! You're like a best friend/ brother type. I'm sorry and I just don't want to lose you as a friend you're very important to me and I'd hate to lose you just because our relationship didn't workout.
He nodded. "I understand."
"Now I want you to promise me that we'll still be tight no akwardness!"
"I promise." He agreed.
I stuck my pinky out and we locked fingers.
**Later that night**
"Woow for real?"
I was laying on my bed talking on tbe phone with Asia.
"Yes, I felt so bad. I hope we can really be the same." I filled her in on what happened.
"I think so. He's mature so there should be no pettiness."
"I guess but oh my gosh today with Langston was so much." I told her about our day at the zoo.
"Awe thats so cute!" She said in a high pitched voice. "Are you going to tell Lang about the kiss?"
"Should I?" I asked.
Beep.
"Hold on I got another call." I pulled my phone away from my ear, it was Jasmin. "I got to take this, lets go to brunch tomorrow and talk about the rest!"
She agreed and I clicked over.
"Heeeey!" I sang into the phone.
"No." She said dryly.
"Who got your panties in a bunch?" I giggled.
"You."
"Me?" I was confused. "What are you talking about?"
"Julian took you to his secret spot?" She asked but I feel like she already knew the answer.
"Yeah...how you know?"
"He tweeted 22 minutes ago saying 'Tasha like the secret spot hopefully she uses it like I do winky emoji green heart emoji! How does he know your favorite color is green?" She yelled.
"Uhm take a chill pill, He took me go see his secret spot for like 2 minutes."
"Was it before or after the kiss?" She asked.
And I started choking. "WHAT?!He tweeted that?"
"No but you thought you pressed declined when you really pressed answer."
I felt dumb. "Well once you realized I didn't mean to pick up you should've hung up nosey." I was irritated.
"Shut up boy friend stealer!" She screamed.
"You're being petty." I rolled my eyes.
"If you liked him thats all you had to say but you fronted like you ain't like him and that you had feelings for Langston." She was still screaming.
"I don't like him okay! After he kissed me he explained how much he liked me." She interupted me by breathing hard. "But I told him I wasn't into him like that and that I just wanted to be friends!"
"What about those videos & pictures?" Her voice was a little more calm but still angry.
"What pictures & videos?" I was really confused.
"The video where ya'll was hugging on the corner, the video when he was on your back and the picture of him with his arm on your shoulder?"
I couldn't believe my friend of 11 years was really acting like this over a boy. "Hugging? We most likely was saying bye, he jumped on my back and we fe and we were in gym when his heas was on my shoulder. Langstons was on my lap."
"So you fucking with the crew?" Her words stung me.
"Wooow you're pathetic! You're mad over a boy who Wants me but I dont want him a he doesn't even know you." I was tired of being nice.
"Put a good word in for me!"
I was stunned. "You really think I'm going to after the way you treated me?"
She hung up on me.
I was hurt and shocked.
