Chapter 31

Day 29

"Quit it!" Haeri laughed so hard as she tried to stop Chanyeol from making her laugh. "My stomach hurt, okay?"

"It's because I'm funny," Chanyeol chuckled.

They're both in the hospital. After knowing Haeri got a high fever, they decided to send her to the hospital. At first, she doesn't wake up until last night which was 24 hours later. It's a good thing she just had a fever and now, she's getting better.

Meanwhile, Xiumin got better too and has a day or two left to rest and receive treatment from the hospital to make sure he's very healed. Mr Kim had already wake up and currently, Sehun's mother had been doing her responsibility on taking care of him very well.

While the others continue to have a normal life. None of them seem to be too worry about what Mr Park is about to do next. No one seem to be bother by the thought that he might be doing something next.

Their laughs faded.

"What day is it today?" Haeri asked clearly not happy with the topic she's talking about.

"Monday?" Chanyeol raised his brow, trying his luck.

"Yours. What day is it today?" Haeri asked again.

"Oh," Chanyeol finally understand. "29th, if I'm not mistaken."

"What're you planning to do then?"

"Can we not talk about this? I just want to enjoy what I can now and I don't care about what might happen tomorrow or later. I'll just wait for what meant to come to really come to me," Chanyeol said.

The door was open revealing Xiumin. Haeri was surprised to see him suddenly visiting her. He must be alone then, thought Haeri.

"How are you feeling?" Xiumin asked with a smile.

"Fine. Like better than before," she answered.

"You're having company here? With Chanyeol?" Xiumin knows it when Chanyeol is there. He knows it from Haeri's expression. Haeri nodded her head. "Then I guess I'm interrupting your happy talk. Sorry."

"No, it's okay," she quickly said it before Xiumin left the room. "Why are you here though? Something important?"

"Nah, just visiting."

"Oh, I have question," Haeri snapped her finger as it captivates his attention. "Who is Kris to you guys?"

Xiumin let the question sink before he let out a sigh. "I've heard from Chen that Kris talked to you the other day. Please don't take it to heart."

"It's okay. I understand him anyway. He must've been going through something difficult too," Haeri reassured.

He sat down on the chair by the bedside. The corner of his lips lifted to form a small but bitter smile. "I'm sorry about Kris. He's just scared. You know, after Chanyeol's incident. Since he's our friend, of course we felt upset. But for Kris, it's more depressing when another friend of his gone not long after Chanyeol. It's Tao."

Tao's name caught her attention to the fullest. She just knew that Kris and Tao are both friend.

"That's why. He's scared to loss more. He even scolded me for doing stupid things like letting myself get hit by a car," he let out a humorless chuckle. "He thought that I'm dying just for this one particular girl."

"It's Sena, isn't it?" Haeri smiled. Xiumin stayed silent, shy of admitting but nodded his head. "She's lucky to have you."

"Anyway, what did Kris talked to you about?" He changed the topic.

Haeri was reminded by the flashback where Kris talked to her. His words sure hurts but she understands him.

Haeri was going to the convenience store to buy something when she accidentally bumped with someone.

"Uh - I'm sorry," she apologized as she helped the latter with his stuffs. She handed him the stuffs she had picked up. Upon seeing his face, she was surprised. "Kris, right?"

At first, Kris seem to not recognize her. However, he did. "Sena?"

Haeri shook her head with a smile. "I'm her twin sister, Haeri. It's nice to -"

"Can you get out of my life?" Kris harsh words made Haeri stopped instantly. "You and your twin sister. Stop ruining my life. Stop messing with my friends."

By that time, Chen was also going to the convenience store but through the opposite path. He saw Haeri talking with a tall man. Curiosity took controlled of him that he slowly approached them without their notice.

"I'm sorry but what are you talking about?" Haeri asked, clueless.

Kris let out a sigh. "You're pathetic. Once your life had ruined, you try to ruin other's. You make them all involve in your life then they'll empathize you so you're not the only person who feel all the misery.

"Because of you, my friends all got involved. Thank God, Xiumin didn't leave too. I just hate someone like you, don't you know that? If you continue doing this, you'll hurt each one of them. Who's your next target?"

"I'm -"

"Stop making other's life fall apart. If you can't experience happiness, accept it. Don't let other's life fall apart too." With that he left.

Haeri was speechless. She doesn't know what she should do next. But sure enough, tears build up in her eyes. His words bring bitter memories. She stared at the long path ahead her. Without thinking any further, she ran along the path.

Chen was too shocked. "H-Haeri!" He tried to catch up with her but lost trace of her afterwards.

"I'm sorry on the behalf of Kris's behavior," Xiumin apologized. "He's always like that. Cold and emotionless."

"I'm getting confused now, should I really get out of your life and Kris's? Should I dragged Sena out of your life?" She questioned that make Xiumin widen his eyes.

"I told you to not take his words to heart!" He defended.

"I was just kidding," she laughed.

"You really like to joke to something like that?" Chanyeol laughed. "That's harsh."

Their laughter faded drastically once the door to the room opened. The presence of the latter was so dominant and spiteful.

"Kim Haeri, how was it?" The latter smirked. "Have you changed your mind?"

It was a sudden question. All the three of them were surprised. Haeri stared down on the white blanket that cover half of her body. She doesn't know what to do but there's something she really wanted to do. She knows what she's about to do is something stupid, but she's not stupid.

"Mr Park," she inhaled. "Let's talk about it."

This might be my last time updating before finals so be patient. I am sure you have finals too so let's face them together. I'm gonna ditch wattpad for a moment. *sob*
