Greyson looked at sleeping Melissa, a heavy sigh escaped his lips. She was crying for about an hour after the slow talk they had in the bathroom. Greyson tried to make her talk to him but she just didn't stop weeping and Greyson was worried that it would affect the baby. He walked Melissa to the bed to lay her down and she followed weakly, her knees were like jellies so Greyson had to support her. Then she laid down, still in tears as she sobbed quietly in the bed. Greyson decided to go downstairs and brought some food for her as a breakfast but when he came back, Melissa had fallen asleep. She must be tired and exhausted from crying for so long, he thought.

Greyson wanted to wake her but he didn't have the heart to. He wiped the tears on Melissa's cheek with his thumb and tucked her hair behind her ear. "When are you going to forget? When are you going to accept the truth?" He said in a soft voice.

It was the second day in that week he had skipped work but he didn't care less because what more matter at the moment was Melissa. He was afraid to leave her alone in this state that she could do anything beyond his expectations since she was unemotionally stable. Greyson decided to give a call to his father informing him that he was absent again.

"Is there any problem, son?" His dad asked after Greyson told him that he couldn't go to work.

Greyson paused for a while and continued, "Melissa is pregnant. She is not really well right now so I am worried to leave her alone, you know."

"What? Mel is pregnant? Why didn't you tell earlier?"

"I just knew it as well. Later I'll call mom to inform her about this."

After he hung up, he dialled his mother's number to tell her that news.

"Mom, you're right." Greyson said bluntly once the line reached to his mother.

"What is right? What is wrong? What are you talking about?"

   "...about the pregnant thing."

"What did you say? OMG are you serious? Oh God, I'm going to be a grandma!" Lisa squealed like a teenage girl.

"Mom, it's not your first grandchild."

"It's my first from you two. Awh, how is she? Can I talk to her?"

"She is sleeping right now. Mom, what should I do if she gets emotional and doesn't want to talk to me?"

"What did you do that she doesn't want to talk to you? Greyson, pregnant women are very sensitive. They can go emotional over little things. All you need is patience and treat her the best you could."

Greyson had been on the phone with his mother for half an hour until he heard rustling noise from the bed. He turned around from the window to see Melissa was curling up on the bed, her face scrunched with her hands clutching her stomach like she was holding a pain. Eyes were closed, of course.

Greyson hurried to the bed after he hung up to check on Melissa. She was groaning in her sleep now and it made Greyson worried.

"Mel, wake up. What's wrong?" He patted her arm lightly to wake her up. Melissa was still whimpering and clutching her stomach.

"Hey, are you alright? Open your eyes, Mel."

After a few attempts of waking his wife, Greyson released a sigh of relief when Melissa finally opened her eyes. However, when she saw Greyson, she turned her back to him causing Greyson to alert that she was still not in the right mood.

"Are you okay? Does your stomach hurt? You hadn't eaten anything since you woke up this morning. Please eat something." Greyson softly said. Melissa didn't answer but her hands were still on her stomach.
