Lily slowly stepped out of her fathers car and walked up the stone walkway to her and her fathers new home. Her eyes traveled down to the wooden steps that looked like they would snap in half if she walked up them. She decided just to try them.
CREAK!!!!
The steps make a sickening noise, but didn't break. She walked up the rest of the steps and inserted the old rusty key into the slot. The door opened and dust flew everywhere.
She wandered through the house and noted that it was much nicer inside then out. When she walked through the door she was in the living room and there was a set of stairs right in front of her, then when she kept on going straight, she ended up in the kitchen. The kitchen was nice and big with a lot of counter-room, which was good because they both loved to cook. She walked up the stairs and at the top there was a hallway. There were two rooms on each side and one at the end. She walked to the room at the end and creaked open the door. It was a large room with two windows and a closet. The closet doors were closed and there was a lock. Lily walked up to the doors and turned the pure gold handles. She made a note that they were pure gold, and that no other handles were like that. They were locked
"Damn it!"
She swore under her breath. She turned around and heard what sounded like metal dropping to the floor. She spun around on her heal and scanned the floor with her eyes.
"A key"
She whispered.
