Chapter 27

I had been searching everywhere for Harry. I knew exactly who he was with and why he left but I can't tell you where he is.

Becca annoys me in family events like this. She always complains and makes fun of our parent's friends. She always has something mean to say and when I saw Harry's gaze towards her, I knew I had lost him.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting everything to go smoothly when you're having your boyfriend meet the moms and dads you grew up with. All I want is for them to like Harry and maybe that has to do with him covering up the ink on his skin.

He's being overly sensitive to it. I mean, he's asked to hide them at work or in any professional setting so why is he all cranked up because I've asked him to do this for me one time.

"-you could show off your tattoos and make sexual jokes at the dinner table because I would laugh at them no matter what because it wouldn't matter what others thought about you because I would love you anyway" Becca's voice booms from the small hide away spot in her room.

I immediately get frustrated with her word choices and her having hope that Harry would actually have feelings for her. Becca has always been a home wrecker, sleeping with the guys that I've fallen in love with or scaring them away when they hear I have a restraining order.

My anger resides in me all through brunch, making things seem longer than they should. All I want to do is scream at Harry for the way he's acted today and let Becca know she has crossed her line.

When Harry pushes his sleeves up, he snaps at me in a way I've never seen before. It's shown to me that I'm not the only angry one in this relationship. Which he has no right to be angry when all I have asked is for him to cover up his tattoos. He's being an absolute child.

And when he toasts to the mom's, I see him glance at Becca for a laugh. In my mind he is a five year old trying to get the attention his mom never gave him and now is acting out on the playground.
