A Whole New World

Chapter 14 - Confusion

After getting her lunch tray, Ally decided she had had enough. She was just going to go sit at Julian, Lily and Theresa's table.
She walked up to their table, placed her tray, and sat down. The entire cafeteria literally stopped whatever they were doing and turned to look at her. Erica and Rachel were gaping at her with "o" shaped mouths. Julian, Lily and Theresa looked equally shocked.
"What?!" Ally said loudly, and glared at Erica and Rachel, subtly signalling them to join her too.
Erica looked enraged.
Oops.
"ALLY NICOLETTE DAVIS, WHY ARE YOU ACTING SO WEIRD nowadays?! One day you're just oh-so-nice and the next day you just randomly leave us to sit with a bunch of geeks you don't even know!!"
Rachel was glaring at her too.
Ally had had enough. Slamming her tray on the table, she stood up and yelled back."You guys stop being so full of yourself!! Try hanging out with other people too!!"
Erica just smirked. "Do you realise how ridiculously lame that sounded?"
Suddenly the trio of nerds got up and pulled a furious Ally out of the cafeteria with them.

The four of them sat under the oak tree on the school grounds, and Ally wondered whether she should just tell them about the whole switched universes thing. But then they would definitely think she had lost it. Ally sighed.
"You have to admit, you have been acting different" Lily said cautiously.
What kind of a person was the Ally of this world?. Ally thought.
"It's hard to explain." Ally replied.
"Well, if you want to hang out with us from now on, its totally okay!" said Theresa. Ally smiled at her. "Thanks", she said."Rachel and Erica have been getting a bit annoying again" she couldn't help but admit.
They sat for a while in silence, until the bell rang. Theresa and Julian had Math, while Lily had Biology along with Ally. They headed to class.

School had gotten over and Ally was about to head to her bus, when she saw Erica and Rachel walk up to her. She folded her hands.
"Ally, we had such a fun time yesterday, shopping. What made you suddenly so angry with us? "Rachel said.
This was just too confusing and tiring. Suddenly, a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"Aww, honey, I'm sorry!" Erica said, and hugged her.
Ally didn't know what to do. She awkwardly hugged her back. What she didn't know was that Lily and Theresa witnessed the whole "hugging scene", and were more confused than ever.

Ally decided to stay back at home on Tuesday and just not go to school.
"But why?" her mom asked her when Ally told her this on Tuesday morning.'
"Um..I...I kind of have a headache...and I have lots of homework to catch up on..."
"Oh,OK. There's pasta in the fridge. Heat it up for lunch. Okay, I'm going to go get ready now and leave for the studio" her mom replied,and went upstairs.

What? My real mom would've been much more worried!!

Lucas left for college, and her parents left for work. Ally took another nice, long nap, then slowly got ready, enjoying her day off from school.
While she was eating some cereal, she got a text. It was from Rachel.

Y u no come?!? :(

Ally smiled, and replied-
Stop texting in class and listen more. :-)

The reply was quick.
Shut up. Just tell y u didn't come.

Headache.

Oh, suuuree. I believe u  : I

Srsly. OK bye.

Ally switched off her phone and went to rinse her bowl, thinking about what she should do that day.
She had a whole free day ahead of her, and Ally decided to get her homework done with so she could be free for the full day. It was now 10 o clock, and Ally set to work.
