A/N: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS! I know it's really late but I was hoping to publish this chapter before Christmas. I'm really sorry! Please forgive me! Also, this is the last chapter before the epilogue, plus the epilogue is gonna be a short one.
-------------------------
I watched as my new grandparents cooed at the baby. Emma stared off into space, without any care in the world. I still don't understand why David and Mary Marget haven't decided on a name for my new uncle. I tried not to think much of it, and just enjoy what I know now. I just sat across from Mary Margret, watching her actions without a care in the world.
"Emma, you okay?" David brought her out of her thoughts.
"What?" she turned her attention towards them. "Yeah! Of course. You guys gonna finally tell me the name of my little brother or should I just keep calling him 'hey, there'?"
"Is it normal to have the name 'hey, there'?" I asked as a joke.
"Oh, well the thing is," David started, "there's sort of this, tradition. Back in the Enchanted Forest, when any royal is born, you usually announce the name at a coronation ceremony."
"We would have done it with you if we could have," Mary Margret sighed.
"You're not gonna hold him out in front of the clock tower and present him like lion king, are you?" Emma asked.
"Does that explain why I saw the song on David's phone?" I asked. Even though they're my legal grandparents now, I still prefer to call them by their names.
"Of course not," he laughed. "In fact, we've decided to forego all pomp and circumstance for a nice, potluck at Granny's."
"The important thing is to mark the occasion," Mary Marget added.
"So like a date and time?" I questioned.
"No," she laughed. "More like to remind ourselves that after all that we've been through, we're still together, as a family."
I heard the door shut. Turning my head, it was my brother with some newspapers in his hands. I'm guessing he was still trying to find a house for him and his mother, oh and me. Looks like I'm staying with him after all.
"Hey! Check it out! I think I found us a place," he walked to our mother.
"You're looking for apartments?" Emma asked.
"Yep, and this time with a room for Pearl," he smiled, looking at me. "What do you think?" I stood up and walked over to Emma, looking at the papers.
"Yeah, Emma, what do you think?" Mary Margret asked.
Emma turned around, wrapping an arm around our shoulders, pulling us closer, "I think your grandparents can't decide what to name your uncle, and they are using a fairy-tale tradition to try and buy themselves some time."
------------------------------------
"And that's when the bandit leapt on the top of the carriage and stole the prince's jewels. As the prince chased the thief on horseback, through the treacherous forest-"
"Really? I can't hear the kid's name yet, but I have to hear this story again?" Emma asked as she walked over to the table.
I sat across Henry in the booth, finally being able to listen to the story that started it all. Mary Margret was next to him, holding the baby and David was standing next to him. Rudy sat next to me, also listening. I will say, the story is way more interesting than Disney's version.
