♡Maya♡

"Riley, I'm gay!" I shout. The room immediately becomes a pillar of silence. Riley takes her eyesight off of the box for a moment but Lucas's eyes fill with fear and anger both at the same time.
"No!" Lucas yells. "I'm so tired of this, nobody else is taking Riley away from me!" He quickly pulls Riley up from her seat and kisses her, very passionately I must say so as well.
Ouch.
I look down at the floor and swallow, trying to keep tears in my eyes for once, and I sigh.
Farkle stands up soon after Riley quickly pulls away from Lucas's grasp and she sits down, shocked at the whole entiredy of the situation.
"Look man," Farkle starts.
"We all know you like Riley and all, but that was a little too far. You now know that Maya likes Riley and you don't disrespect your friends like that. And I'll have you know I'm gay too, so call me what you want. But I'm still me."
Riley nearly faints as I can tell. Lucas sighs.
"Well what the hell did you think I was about to do?! Propose to her?! We're 16 Maya!" I look up.
"Well ya never know cowboy." I attempt to be casual and sarcastic as usuall, but it just doesn't come out the same.
He takes a breath and rubs his forehead, trying to relieve the stress that I can tell.
"It was...a necklace." Lucas looks at Riley, "I was making it a big deal about it because I was going to ask her to be...my Girlfriend." Riley looks up at him, not sure what to think.
"I thought it would be a nice gesture...okay?" Lucas sighs and climbs out the window, depressivly.
"Lucas wait!" Riley yells.
"I'll call you later. Okay?" He quickly gives her a kiss on the cheek and she willingly takes it. I can tell she still likes him. Obviously she's discusted with me now. As Lucas walks off, Riley turns around and plops down onto the bay window seat.
"Wow." She says plainly.
"Yeah..." me and Farkle both say at the same time.
"Hey...Farkle, could you-"

"Yeah." He says quickly. "I'll leave you two alone. See you both at school. Okay?" I nod and he climbs out the other way, after Lucas.

Riley looks at me, trying to process the whole situation. She gazes into my eyes and locks it there.

"So...." I say nonchalantly, not sure of what to say in this moment.
"

I'm supposed to like boys...Right Maya?"

The dusty blonde stared into the brunettes shimmering eyes.

"I don't know Riles....What do you think?"
I say, looking at the ground until my face was lifted with something soft smacking into her lips.

Riley Kissed her.

the kiss soon ended because Maya didn't know how to exactly...return it.

"Peaches...." Riley smiled.

"What?" Maya stood, confused.

"You taste like peaches." She smiled, and kissed the girl once more.

I look up. "Riley why did you do that? Can't you see? You love lucas."

"Yes but I love you mo-"
I cut the brunette off quickly, reassuring her that she can't just go into something like that.
I sigh.

"Look, I'll give you a week to think about it. I don't want you to love me than realize your still in love with Lucas."

"I'd never hurt you Maya." She states, trying to get me to lighten it up a bit.

"I know you wouldn't. And that would be the problem."

"What?" She grabs my hand and squeezes it, trying to help.

"You'll keep it all a secret that you still like Lucas. You won't want to tell me because it will hurt me. This is why I want you two think about this."

She sighs and nods, Not saying anything. I decide that it would be best to leave.
I lean and kiss her on the cheek.

"Goodbye, hunnie."

"Hunnie?" She lifts her head out of curiosity.

"That's what you taste like......Hunnie." I say.

A smile crawls across her face as I slide out the window and I get this feeling in my chest that I have never gotten before.

Hope.
